Ive been working on this horror story recently and im struggling with something

Im not going to get into the story since it’s not fully done yet but what I will say is that there is a lot of different monsters in this story.

I have a vast majority of these monsters planned out but most of these monsters have pretty simple designs.

I know simplicity can be a good thing sometimes and some of these monsters work well with the simpler designs in my opinion. But for a horror story, these monsters just either aren’t scary, don’t feel very unique, or both.

For example: here's a design for the first monster in the story

It is a simple werewolf. It's not really scary for the reader to look at and it's just your typical werewolf. Nothing special to differentiate it from any other werewolf in media.

How would one edit a simple monster design to make it look scarier and more unique?

the hackerbait/scam bots have changed up their wording - I've seen this and another, differently phrased message getting repeatedly used now.

PLEASE DO NOT ENGAGE WITH PEOPLE COMMENTING THAT THEY NEED TO TALK TO YOU ABT SOMETHING IMPORTANT IN DMS.

it is a scare tactic!

They will tell you that they accidentally reported you/your account and that you need to "resolve this with tumblr", maybe even send you a fake email telling you to reach out to someone on discord - IT'S ALL FAKE TO GET YOUR LOGIN DATA SO THEY CAN SPAM THOSE TRICK COMMENTS THROUGH YOUR ACCOUNT TOO.

EDIT:

an easy way to check if they're a bot or a hacked account is if they have their username as their title and their posts/reblogs don't go back further than 1 day and their first post is something like "hiiii" - those are fine to report as spam/bot!

Real accounts that got hacked would have more personalization and got way further back and the original owner is likely already trying to get it back, so no reporting and just blocking would be better there.

Gotta question out of curiosity

Artfight is starting in July. I am not a professional artist and there is a lot of things I can’t draw. However, I am relatively good at using heroforge. So I was wondering if that was allowed for artfight or if we have to DRAW it?

The US government has officially declared ‘radical pro-transgender groups’ to be domestic terrorist organizations. This will certain remain for the duration of this administration, and may hold into the next.

This opens the door for not only the targeting of trans individuals, but also trans communities, the broader queer community, and even allies and family members of transgender people.

Everyone, be safe. Look out for each other. Cherish small wins, and moments of joy.
