So I know Steven Universe has it’s issues but I don’t know that it’s my place to tell a Bisexual Jewish Woman that she’s Not Allowed to write a fantasy story where in the Bad Guy can be taught and make up for mistakes. I also feel like, considering there was no way ANYONE back in 2011, when this story was originally written, could have seen where in the hell this train would have gone and how crazy the climate would get, and that MAYBE we shouldn’t call her a Nazi Apologist when her Fantasy Story was trying be hopeful that the people in your life can learn and grow and change. Maaaybe we should understand that it takes YEARS to see a show to completion, and that the timing was really, Really Bad for this poor show, especially when the Hiatuses are taken into account. Like, just a thought

you dont have to be purposefully malicious to be a bad person. you can be a bad person through inaction and refusal to stop your own bad behaviour. its not like hes an evil cackling wizard sitting in his ebony brick castle watching his horrible machinations come to fruition, like onision is (that dude destroyed natural wetlands on his property, bulldozed trees and dead shrubbery into its main body of water, and then said he was just getting rid of invasive species of plants even AFTER he was found guilty by the state of washington). hes just the most influential youtuber in the history of the website and he says and does racist things as “jokes” and refuses to legitimately change so his fanbase, which is a mix of young children who dont know any better and young adults who know better but imitate him to try and gain his praise, isnt affected.
