I'm overreacting Like a chemical imbalance, Though I should be stable; Equal parts tenacious and smart, Two elements in harmony, Yet the universe added a catalyst And I'm overwhelming the vile That is my world

I feel like my heart is lying to itself, and even though falling is easy, accepting it is never going to be more than impossible.

I'm caught between the rose and the lion, the beauty and the adventure, the thorns and the claws.

It’s almost like Romeo and Juliet.  Separated by a higher power, But destined to be together Until love becomes too much. And we will reunite at a different time, Maybe in this world, More likely in another.

Was it a sign  That we were brought back together; Two stars realigned, This time with no planet in-between  So I can see your eyes  And you can see mine And we can shine; Just the two of us in this galaxy

My heart is split two ways  Like a fork in the road,  And my brain can’t pick a path. Oh god it hurts As my mind is tearing itself in half  To love

My angel of adventure, my king of hearts. May we meet again soon.

Maybe it was time for the world to be deprived of another great mind but oh god does it hurt more than just the genius.

Good. I beat my high score, I got complimented on my outfit, I got the answer correct, I wrote breathtaking words. Average. I got half the score, I picked unmatching clothes, I guessed the answer incorrectly, I wrote meaningless words. Bad. I didn't try, I didn't get dressed, I didn't show up to class, I didn't pick up the pencil.

He said he’d always hold her when thunder shook the house, but now she sits on her front doorstep in the rain alone because he found someone who wasn’t afraid of the storm.

I was drowning in the sea Barely scraping the surface, Then I saw your face  And I asked for your service.  You threw a life jacket That I grabbed and fastened.  You took me to safety, Only that's not what happened. Instead you threw weight  That made me fall deeper. I cried, "I don't want to drown!", You replied, "I don't want to either". The weight was just too much, There was nothing I could say, So I did what you told me to  And I simply sank away.

I watched the burning sunset and thought of your ruby-flushed cheeks when I said "I love you". Now, as I watch the sunset, I think of how, just like the sun, you left right before my eyes.

Your intentions were of love, not malice. But here I am. Burning.

I'm out of the ditch and I'm driving the road to a new beginning and I'm never looking back.

Sometimes it's not just writer's block; sometimes it's writer's prison, where the inmates are my thoughts and the bolted door is my pen without ink.

If I don't have words, how do I communicate the enigma that is my thoughts?

Conveying both everything and nothing is a paradox in itself.
