So my bike was stolen from our garage last night. My beloved, custom, carbon fiber, most-expensive-thing-I-own-aside-from-my-car bike. I just found it listed on FB marketplace. Shit is about to go down.
You take the time to look up the specs and even with that knowledge post it for an insulting low price?? Also this asshole had to have posted it within an hour or two of stealing in. Unreal.
Just making shit up left and right. I’ve called the police and they’re useless so I’ve called reliable backup: climber friends. So far I have four men and two vehicles that will be joining B and I at the rendezvous. Bike heist is a go.
@pastelsailorr That is absolutely what’s going to happen.
Bike heist was a success. I met the thief, asked him to take it for a test ride, and then just…rode away. lol.
At which point, the boys all got out of their cars where they were waiting to have a chat with the guy. B met me with our car two blocks away, we put the bike in the back, and returned to Safeway to see how the boys were faring. Thief had already skedaddled, but they’d told him to never step foot on my property again and he apologized and booked it. So we had an adrenaline-fueled morning that nonetheless reinforced that we’ve moved to a place with a great community of friends willing to drop everything on a Saturday morning to help us, and the guys claimed it was the most fun they’d had in months.
Also, to answer a question I am also somewhat concerned about: he knows I live in one of four townhomes on our street. We share a bank of detached garages that aren’t directly behind the houses and aren’t labeled with individual addresses. So he knows the street I live on but not the house. Definitely being extra careful for a while, though. And the bike is staying inside until we get cameras/an alarm system set up for the garage.

Still got a long way to go. I seem to have hit a plateau over the last few weeks, needed a reminder of how far I’ve come. 30lbs in just under four months - another 30lbs to go.
Reposting this because I needed to see it.

What did you do to lose the weight?
Genuinely, by tracking calories in and calories out every day for 18 months.
I bought a Fitbit and downloaded MFP. I used Fitbit to track my calories burnt through excerise (I'm still well known to pace up and down my living room while on the phone or watching TV - why not!?) , and I tracked every single calorie I ate and drank (every single one, they all count) in MFP. Some days I went over, some weeks I stalled, but slowly but surely it all came off, pound by pound.
That sounds so simple I know, but the tricky part is always sticking with it for any length of time. I'd tried dieting and calorie counting for years and never got results. The difference this time was that I was 100% in it for the long haul. I stopped expecting to lose 14lbs in a month and decided I'd be happy losing 14lbs in a year if that's what it took. I enjoyed my food and made healthy eating feel like the luxury treatment my body deserved rather than a punishment. I wanted a quick fix, but I learnt the only way you can that weight loss / fitness plans only work if you can keep them up for the long haul, not just a few weeks or months.
⚠️ This question might be triggering!! ⚠️ This might be kind of a personal thing but do you have extra skin? That’s what I’m most worried about when it comes to losing weight.
Yeah, I do. It's not ideal, but it has got a bit better over time since I lost the weight. I mostly notice is on my tummy and in my boobs. But for real, even with a bit of lose skin I am 10000x happier now I've lost the weight and if I could go back in time I'd do it all again in a heartbeat!
this hit me like a bus
I’ll reblog it till my fingers bleed
That feeling when you've just killed a workout and you step into the cold and steam is coming off your body.
Is there a way to block pro-ED posts without reporting them?
I get so many 'pro ana' results when I'm looking through Tumblr. I don't want to report it and get people's pages taken down because I'm not a total dick. But it's pretty boring and honestly just not my thing, and I don't really want it in my results when I'm searching through fitness and weight loss hashtags.
Can anyone help??
Here’s anotha oldie with a newie
You fucking GO girl! 😍
So I haven’t posted on here in awhile, but that doesn’t mean my progress has stalled. If anything it’s done the opposite. But it took me until today to realize that.
Until today I thought that I was still the same as I was 40 pounds ago. But I’m not.
I’m so much stronger, and faster, and kinder to my body.
Before I wanted a quick fix, I wanted to lose 20 pounds in 10 days, but now, I am ok if I lose at a slower pace or even maintain for awhile as long as it means having a healthy relationship with my body/mind, and that has helped so much.
Before I couldn’t finish a mile in 15 minutes, now I can do a 9 minute mile.
Before I couldn’t bench press the bar itself, now I can bench press almost 15 pounds on each side of that bar.
It’s the little things that you work toward everyday that keep you going when you can’t see the big picture, but boy when you see it is it worth it.
I was the person who never thought it would be possible to wear anything but size 12 jeans. Today I bought size 4.
But here’s the thing…there is no secret to it. There is no diet or quick fix and it won’t always be easy, but it doesn’t always have to be difficult either.
Find something you love. I found my cross country team and I found weightlifting and those two things make me happy and I am soooo grateful for them.
I still can’t believe how far I’ve come and I can’t wait to see how much stronger and faster I can become!
another transformation pic!! two months difference!
still not at my official goal but i’m so fucking happy to feel better in my own skin and honestly i’m not going back! only up from here 🥳
