I love Andy but there’s absolutely no way she was the one to introduce Sirius to rock bands and muggle music in general, that girl is POSH. The only music she’s listening to is Mozart, if only out of spite. She ran away for love not rebellion. No, all credit for that goes to the one and only Lily Evans. Yes she loved ABBA but you can’t convince me she didn’t love Bowie and Queen just as much. I imagine she’s homesick one day, listening to the few vinyls she’s managed to collect in the common room. Sirius comes down and is immediately awestruck, and he’s asking her all these questions about the bands she likes and what genre of music it is. They’ve never really talked one-on-one before, and any interaction they’ve had has been Sirius acting a little bit like a douche, so it throws Lily off a bit, but Sirius seems so genuinely enthralled with it that she just goes with it. Eventually they make a little tradition of coming down and just listening to music, and Sirius loves to show her his own vinyl collection once he starts growing it. Sirius opens up about Regulus sometimes, and Lily opens up about Petunia.

Lily is a muggle and she should get her credit for sharing muggle culture is all I’m saying.

If you believe in egotistical Fleamont, then we'll agree to disagree, but I think Fleamont would honor his father by naming his son after him and not after himself.

sirius spending summer at james’ family country house and developing a massive crush on the local boy who comes by every morning to fix fences and clean the pool and mow the lawn. sitting by the pool pretending to read while remus cleans leaves out of the water in shorts and an old sleeveless shirt. offering him expensive cigarettes and looking offended when remus says the cheap ones he buys himself taste better. finding out remus finishes work at six every evening and somehow always “accidentally” being outside waiting for him after that.

remus driving sirius into town in his old pickup truck because sirius’ fancy car got stuck in the mud outside the country house. sirius inviting remus to swim after work and trying very hard not to stare when remus takes his shirt off. remus teaching rich city boy how to climb over fences, skip stones on the lake, and start bonfires properly. him falling asleep in a hammock behind the greenhouse after working all day in the heat and sirius sitting nearby because he doesn’t want to wake him. sirius staying the entire summer in the countryside because leaving remus suddenly sounds unbearable.

PSA that the best way I've found to get over writer's block is a crackfic. A one-shot works, or even a crack version of your main work is good. What you're writing right now doesn't have to be readable, but it'll get you to a point that you can work from, and you can go back to replace the silly stuff if needed. Forget plot, spelling, and grammar, and just get yourself into a rhythm where you're creating something if you feel like you can't create anything
