I’m not a fan of running. If I see my #crossfit WOD includes running I inner cry. But because I was so embarrassed how slow I was, I decided to do something about it. I started working on my run. It would take me about 17-20 mins to do a mile. Now look at me! Your entire life can really change in a year. You just gotta love yourself enough to know you deserve more, be brave enough to demand more, and be discipline enough to actually work for more! . It’s officially a year since I started eating healthy and constantly working out. I’m so fucking proud of myself for not giving up. Don’t get me wrong I wasn’t perfect but I changed my lifestyle, my mindset. In a year I learned the importance of eating and not cutting out too much of my nutrition. I’ve learned to FUCK the scale. To love the progress, no matter how small it is. . In a year I went from bootcamp and slowing adding activities: biking (March) to Crossfit (May), working out at 5am (late August), joining a running club (October), adding “accessory workouts” and active rest day (late November). I’m still questioning the active rest day 🤔😂 . The 9 months of CrossFit has taught me to appreciate my body and what it’s capable of doing. Even though I get frustrated at myself most of the time, I know I have a lot more to learn and so much to conquer. Def so many movements to improve. I know I need to be brave enough to demand more of myself. . In a year one can really change. Here’s to another year of challenges and discipline! Of exploring new activities and making new friends.
