Don’t forget that there was also an ‘ensemble’ cast in season 1.

We had Cliff, Connors, JJ, Carter, Miles, all of Kip’s friends and dad, Shane’s other teammates etc. more casting doesn’t mean less screen time for Shane and Ilya. We truly don’t know what kind of screen time these other characters are getting.

For instance they announced Farah’s casting (yay) and she’s in like three tiny scenes in the book.

Don’t stress my doves! Papa JT knew what he was doing with the time constraints of the first season, and he’s already said he has no interest in switching up the formula that worked the first time.
