MADNESS BY SLEEPING WITH SIRENS
Sleeping With Sirens released their new album “Madness” March 13, 2015 through Epitaph Records. Madness is the bands fourth album and is also self-produced along with John Feldmann. Recently, the band has replaced former guitarist Jesse Lawson with Nick Martin. This is also Sleeping With Sirens first release since departure from Rise Records in 2014.
1. Kick Me
The lyrics are pretty good but could be a little better. As for the melody, it is super catchy and I would not mind jamming out to this song in my car! Very nice rage song as well. Thumbs up!

2. Go Go Go
The guitar is pretty cool and the melody overall is about average i would say. The lyrics are great! I feel like it could be a little bit better but it is pretty good as it is! This song is definitely somewhat of a love song and somewhat of a motivational song.
Favorite Line: “They say it’s time to grow up and stop with these foolish games but I say they’re wrong”

3. Gold
Honestly, when the song started out, I felt like i was watching a Disney movie. Disney sells pretty well too but this song doesn’t sound much like their sound. Yes, it is catchy but it doesn’t really fit well with the album. The lyrics are...GOLD. This song seems to relate to the people who want to live and chase their dreams and a lot of their fan base has that power to them.

4. Save Me A Spark
This song has a load of pop to it. But hey, sometimes i want some pop. The chorus didn’t seem to hit me well though. Kind of boring melody wise. The lyrics are eh, a little too mainstream and a little too cheesy i suppose. Kind of reminds me of a christian-gospel band song as well. Unfortunately, this song isn’t hitting the spot for me. Sorry guys!

5. Fly
This song reminds me of their older stuff and i love that! The chorus is probably one of my favorite parts of the song. The melody is alright. The tune fits well with the lyrics, which are decent. This song is pretty catchy, it could use a little oomf to it though. The bass is pretty rad as well.

6. The Strays
This song is a pretty acoustic and I feel like they should release a full non-acoustic version, it would be really bomb. As the second verse picks up, I feel eh about it. The song sounds like it could be a little harder honestly. It is somewhat catchy but the lyrics are lacking in my opinion. The ending of the song picks up a lot more. It needs more guitar!

7. Left Alone
This song is kind of boring and doesn’t seem to fit with their album Madness. The lyrics aren’t too bad though. I feel like it’s a bit repetitive and thats where it seems not so amusing.

8. Better Off Dead
Upbeat and catchy! Sleeping With Sirens has really great upbeat and fast songs. I feel like this song will connect well with their fanbase because of the lyrics. The chorus is super amazing. Wouldn’t mind picking up this single!

9. We Like It Loud
Starting out, I dig it a lot! This is definitely a wild song and in my opinion, Sleeping With Sirens’ biggest strengths. The lyrics are decent and go well with the tune. I like hearing the band screaming, it gives me a lot of energy!

10. Heroine
Not really liking the slow songs off of this album. This song isn’t too bad though. The lyrics make it a little bit tolerable. The melody kind of makes me feel a little low i suppose. Not sure if i like it or don’t like it. This song makes me indecisive.
Favorite Line: “Morphine lover make me numb. Make it so I can't get up. Paper thin til you sink in.”

11. November
The melody is a little boring and I feel like this is my least favorite song off of the album. This song reminds me too much of Long Live the Kids by We Are The In Crowd. What are you doing SWS?!
Favorite Line: “There's a fire in this November sky.”

12. Madness
This is a slow song I can listen to but it somewhat reminds me of a Disney pop slow song. The lyrics are a little generic but I like them this round. The melody is somewhat catchy but it really isn’t bad! The strings are really awesome. Good good!

13. Don’t Say Anything
Oh boy! Good ending song. Very upbeat and catchy just from the start. The lyrics are pretty memorable, I like them. The lyrics also go fantastic with the melody! The chorus reminds me of the summer and who doesn’t love summer? Or maybe reminds someone of the end of a show. Either or, A great way to end the album! It’s like a perfect finale.

The average rating of stars was 1.5 but I feel like it deserves 2/3 stars! Honestly, not too bad for a new album! It’s somewhat impressive. Compared to their album “Feel” it is by far winning!
