wsminho:
Minho was, at the core of his heart of hearts, an adventurer first and foremost. Adventure could be his middle name, if he had one. He didn’t, legally, but spiritually and emotionally, he was Jang Adventure Minho. Which was why he was always so excited whenever Elliot decided to go on an adventure with him. Even though Minho loved all of his members equally, no one could quite indulge his need to be a protagonist of an adventure comedy like Elliot could.
Even though he was sleepy, he tried very hard not to fall asleep as he followed Elliot out of their down. He was wrapped in one of Han’s sweatshirts he decided to borrow for pajamas, a bright yellow hat pulled over his head to keep him warm. Even though it was spring, the nights could still get chilly. He yawned, rubbing his sleepy eyes with a closed fist.
“We can just invite Hannie hyung with us,” Minho replied slowly, waddling after Elliot. He dug a hand out of his oversized sweatshirt sleeve and reached out to hold Elliot’s hand while they snuck out. Rule number one of adventuring was having fun, but rule number two was never lose your adventure buddy. “Hannie hyung would understand. It’s cold outside, those kitties need us.”
elliot didn’t think of himself as being a bad influence on minho. he didn’t do anything bad, trouble simply seemed to find him wherever his wandering mind ended up bringing him. that was probably only because people didn’t trust him. of course he was going to end up trouble if that was what people expected of him. that was probably why el felt the need to sneak out with minho in order to complete their mission.
he reached out as he felt minho’s hand reach for his own, wrapping his own sweater covered hand around the younger boys larger hand. it was comforting for the pair to walk hand in hand. something about being with his friend felt like home, no matter how far away from his home that he actually was.
“hannie is asleep, i don’t think that he would want to come with us.” he swung their hands playfully as he wandered off toward the alley. “they do need us.” he nodded quite enthusiastically. “but i don’t think that han would like us bring any of them inside. i think that we should gather as many of them as we can so that we can warm them up and get them fed. the more that we can rescue before he wakes up the harder it will be for him to say no.”
