Mako's Rainy Day by jellysnails123
Summary: Mako goes out to complete some weekly errands and Wu decides to come along. When the two men are finally finished with their grocery shopping and leave the shop, they stroll along the city, on their way to the next errand. But a thunderous rainstorm hits Republic City, leaving Mako and Wu standing in the midst of it. Mako and Wu strangle along, racing back to the warmth of Mako's home.
In the safety of Mako's apartment, They're stuck for the rest of the night, leaving Mako alone with Wu, bringing him to endure yet another (strange) domestic situation beside Wu. The old prince always knew how to make himself at home in Mako's apartment, much to Mako's secret delight.

Opal dropped Bolin’s hand, a wicked grin taking over her face. “Sorry, babe,” she said, hooking her arm through Wu’s. “We’ve gotta go prowling for men. You understand, right?” she winked at Bolin, who huffed and rolled his eyes playfully.

Wuko must be the FUNNIEST ship to me, I love it but I'm talking about mako and wu, like imagine they were fighting one day and wu got like super mad and couldn't help but cry and mako just kept looking at him annoyedly, like it would be hella funny to me, I'd be DYING to see these two in a fight, I'm not saying that I want them to fight but I'm talking about the way they would talk to each other loudly, it will be like SUPER funny, and after a couple of hours of them separated mako comes crawling back to wu BEGGING for forgiveness, like please I can't even imagine it

Voting for @wukoweek2025 prompts, as one does, and I saw the “Mako is reminded Wu studied [blank] at university when relevant knowledge saves them” prompt. And I’m a big believer that Wu took a few zoology type courses for fun.
So now all I’m thinking about is Mako finding some kind of creepy crawly and freaking out (bc he deserves to have random, irrational fears). And Wu comes in and picks up said creature, with his bare hands, and is so confused about Mako’s fear bc “this isn’t even venomous.” And just tries to teach Mako all about this random spider or whatever.

Day 5 - Love Language
Summary:
Mako is about to weigh in on Mr. Yamada’s scoundrel-ness when someone starts shouting from the next room.
Mako looks at Wu. Wu looks at Mako. The shouting gets louder.
They jump to their feet together and run for it. Towards the shouting, not away, because apparently Mako has given up on keeping Wu away from danger and has just embraced that danger will be a group activity going forward.

“Still think weddings are boring?” Wu hisses at Mako.
“I never said weddings were boring,” Mako hisses back.
“Your stare implied it.”
Mako puts far too much effort into looking dignified to actually growl his irritation at Wu, but he does give him a rather scorching glare out of the corner of his eye. Wu tries to find that intimidating and not thrilling. He fails. He loves Mako’s attention. Even when it’s glare-y.
“Well, now this one has theft and murder. No chance of boredom now, big guy.”
