Spoilers for the Elbaf arc of One Piece

Theres an interesting parallel developing in One Piece between Luffy and Usopp. For most of the story, Usopp is depicted a friend of the giants.

In Little Garden, Usopp helps to save Dorry and Brogy from Baroque Works.

Fast forward to Enies Lobby where Usopp frees Oimo and Kashii from the world government.

But it isn’t til Dressrosa where Usopp’s parallels with Luffy starts to show. Usopp liberates the prisoners of Dressrosa by defeating Sugar. He is dubbed “God Usopp” and lifted into the air by Hajrudin, Captain of the New Giant Warrior Pirates.

Now we jump to Egghead and Elbaf, where Luffy is being called Nika the Sun God and the Warrior of Liberation by the giants. It seems that Usopp was a man being mistaken for a God, while Luffy was a god being mistaken for a man.

I’m curious if this will tie into Vegapunk’s theory about devil fruits. Vegapunk theorizes that devil fruits are born of wishes and dreams. Maybe Oda is leading up to the myths and legends of God Usopp manifesting itself into a brand-new devil fruit.

Using the colours trap to make Luffy sad, and then having Usopp try to cheer him up was a genius way to expand on Usopp's inner monologue, and show how he has to hype himself up to be brave. I love how the live action improves on certain characters' traits like this

Chikama Yashiro fascinates me to no end

Major spoilers for Volume 99.9 of the Adachi and Shimamura light novel

She's like this omnipresent ageless being who's cosmically tied to Adachi and Shimamura. She's aware of alternate universes and apparently knows that she's in a fictional universe. She also seemingly guides Shimamura to the afterlife when she passes away, which is crazy.

That's not even talking about her inclusion in Hiruma's other works which seemingly ties his stories together into one universe (or it's just an Easter egg but that's not as fun)

Just an incredible character that keeps the light novels so interesting to read through. I wish the manga included some of the bonus stories because they're so fascinating
