i wish people could sympathise with nick without villainising charlie and his mental illness. as someone who struggles with similar issues it was really great to see such a nuance portrayal that didn’t romanticise it. charlie can’t control his behaviour and outburst that’s why he’s in therapy.

charlie didn’t ruin nicks life he helped him accept his sexuality and leave his toxic friends. nick problems started with his absence father and people pleasing tenancies that’s why he struggles with codependency and abandonment issues.

charlie won’t see your dumb comments but your friends suffering with mental illness will!
