keep thinking about how I wrote in my dissertation about how every time a new form of public/social space emerges it's immediately popular with kids and teenagers who see it as a chance at freedom and then adults colonise it and kick them out. this happened with malls in the 80s and diners in the 50s and pool halls in the 20s. my dad was doing research on this trend in like 1975. and I was like "yeah so this is going to happen to the internet" and then five years later every government suddenly decided to ban kids from everywhere online. Hello!! As previously mentioned in my monthly update, I'm opening beta tester applications again !! Particularly for Chapter 13, since it's so big.

The form will close Sunday, January 18th, sometime during the afternoon (EST).

This current round will only focus on [A]'s and Blane's route, with Rylan's coming shortly. N's and K's routes will be tested at later dates. However, I will be choosing all testers now, so please apply regardless.

Hello, everyone! Yes, you did read that right. I am proud to present you with the first Zorlok update of the new year. Hope you enjoy it!

Dark comedy about a demon and the nerdy teen they're bound to serve.

With code (since I can't separate code from my writing) Episode 1 is now at over 179k words. This update added around 93k. Altogether, the game is sitting at around 345k words (again, with code).

As always, let me know through an ask here, the comments on itch.io, or a message in the Zorlok server if you come across any bugs or typos. I'll get to updating and fixing them as quickly as I can.

This is just the first update of the new year and I'm hoping to add to it soon with even more content. (Like maybe a few weeks from now? If that. I've been writing a lot and the only reason why this update isn't even longer is because I need to code and test those parts more thoroughly.)

There's so much I'm eager to share with you about this story, this world and these characters. I'm feeling really motivated, confident, and inspired and I'm at a place with my life and mental health where I'm more stable than I've been in a long time. Barring anything unforeseen, this should be a fun year for Zorlok... *knocking on every piece of wood within reach*
