I found the japan kiss video with the original audio:') iirc this bit in the Supersonic clip was overlaid with Noel's voiceover. @gallaghergallagher

I have to say Noel was not only great company ā always witty, humorous and interesting ā but right from the off he was a fascinating subject. He would always blow up everything he did into a drama, as if he felt life was so damn straight and dull and boring that he had to bend it into exciting shapes so as to grab and entertain you. As another friend once remarked, 'You have to put a 20 per cent commission on all he says.'
āForever the People: Six Months on the Road with Oasis by Paolo Hewitt, 1997
If anything ever seriously bothered our Noel, he'd never talk about it; he always preferred to keep it to himself. Noel was a total daydreamer. He was always telling stories about what he'd got up to. We were pretty skint as a family at that time, but Noel would spin stories to the kids saying we had this and that, and we'd done this or that. I got a bit resentful about his stories, so when he'd been bullshitting some kid that he'd scored ten goals playing football in the park, I'd stand there and say that he didn't score any at all. Not a very endearing trait, but because he had a way of making his stories interesting and funny, it niggled me; perhaps that's where the first seeds of the Gallagher brothers' resentments were sown.

I could do with a motor car Maybe a Jaguar Maybe a plane or a day of fame I wanna be a millionaire So can you take me there Wanna be wild ācos my lifeās so tame Here am I, Going nowhere on a train Here am I, Growing older in the rain

I'm looking for a short video (pretty sure it's a youtube short but I can't find it!!). Noel says something like "my thighs rubbing together" (I think it was in the context of being fat in the 90s and now working out/being thin?). He said it with such disgust that I remember it like three weeks later...

this is actually way more positive of a comment than i'd expected lol, at least he's looking back on the time fondly and commenting on his happiness, usually he's much more vitriolic. rarely have i encountered a man with such vicious internalised fatphobia (the externalisation is obviously quite common, and he sure does excel at that!). falling in with a pack of supermodels in the 90s certainly didn't help anyone.
this clip really has it all though lmao, "i don't eat a lot i'm soooo tiny actually š¤ no big muscles for me thanks. ~*bit of a trimbelina*~ š§āāļø" hopefully his experience right now of being chubby and also apparently the happiest he's been in decades is doing some rewiring in his brain, or at the very least will give him pause before opening his mouth and saying horrific shit out loud to other people!

also I think that what is important for Noel, is not love born of familial obligation, which is a ācircumstantialā love, if you want to look at it that way. any time heās talking about how they donāt get on, it's (long-sufferingly) ābut heās my brother, so, yāknow, what can you doā ; any time heās saying how much he loves Liam, itās how much he loves him as a person, individual things. saying that Liam is his only and best friend (as he did when he first got a garden big enough to play football in, and then realised the only person he really had who would play with him was Liam). when he gets really enthusiastic in his praise, he always backs it up, defensively, by insisting heās not just saying all that because heās his brother. he likes him of his own free will, because of what Liam can do, as a singer, songwriter, and father, because of how he thinks, how funny he is, how beautiful he is, and for his psychedelic mind. āI donāt just need him, I want himā.
