Rivendell as the place where all the dispossessed lineages hang out is sort of funny to me. That guy is the rightful king of Gondor, this guy was briefly the High King of the Noldor, here’s a dwarf whose grandfather was King Under the Mountain, half the elves and a quarter of the humans are probably descended from Second-Age nobility, and their lord is heir to the thrones of Gondolin and Doriath and some other stuff too.

But none of them have realms anymore, so they’re just sitting in the Hall of Fire drinking wine and writing poetry about the good old days.

“Flowers for Amme” || For @thedaughterofshadows

YES! Would you believe it? Two Galdor pieces in a day? If you've got any quarrel with it, blame my friends because he was the one they asked for sksksks. I love you guys so much 🥺💜💜💜

That moment when you’re the youngest and the only son in a family that only had girls before you were born and you weren’t very well-off either so you ended up with enough of your sisters’ hand-me-downs to last you till adulthood sksksks. Yep, that Galdor’s situation. But does he mind? Only when he becomes a teenager and he gets really self-conscious. But for now, he could care less if he’s wearing his sisters’ dresses and their skirts. They’re still clothes after all.

I am so sorry, I was already deep within the lineart when I remembered the crown thingy. But oh whelp, I will draw something else on a later date to compensate. In the meantime, have baby Aldaron bringing flowers to his mother. Hope you like it! 😄

Anyway, I got inspired, so here, have a drabble about how Galdor got his flowers.

Written in the span of like 15 minutes, so don't expect a masterpiece. I just thought it would be cute.

Aldaron hummed contentedly. The gardens were blissfully empty in the rain.

He did not mind the water. Yes, he might get wet, but clothes could dry. This was far more important.

For this morning on the way to his lessons, he had spotted the first crocuses.

And he was determined to bring some of them home for Ammë.

Maybe a dash of colour would make her feel happier again. She always felt a bit down during the winter.

It was perhaps the only reason Aldaron begrudged nature its well-earned rest.

Cradling his treasure close to his chest, he went home.

“Hot Boi Galdor” || Request by @silentx13-posts

Honestly... I don’t even know what to say. So a few days ago, I sent out a message asking for art requests (and they are still open by the way, I should probably post some prompts too... yeah. Anyways.) and Anna was the first one who yeeted me a message. And viola, you receive exactly what you asked for my friend. Hope you like him 💜💜💜.

To be real here, I was so torn while I was drawing this. My brain can’t comprehend this cinnamon roll being anything but a sweetheart, but stare at reference photos did I for hours and whelp, here it is sksksksks 🤣😅. I guess now that I have started... do I have a choice but to do the rest of the lords as well? No promises sksksk. I might do Glorfindel though, but who knows? I KNOW that I want to do Amathlithui though. Hohoho.

Art 3 - Haunt Me Will You Love? || @fall-for-tolkien

Can you tell that this is the first piece I submitted and the only piece that I didn’t do last minute? I’ll be completely honest here, I drew this specifically to hurt @silentx13-posts . Sorry Anna, I am so sorry.

After finishing my TRSB fic, I was immediately flooded with Egalmoth feelings. I HC that Egalmoth and Duilin are married to each other, and they lived a happy life in Valinor, and later in Gondolin, until the fall of Gondolin and the death of Duilin. Now, Egalmoth sits alone by a cliff with nothing but the ghost of the past that haunts his existence, and the reminder of what he failed to save.

I had way too much fun drawing his clothes. I had the funny thought that the worse he felt, the more jewels he wore. Fabulousness as a coping mechanism, you heard it here. I was originally going to include Galdor here as well, but I genuinely hate drawing more than two figures in a single piece so I yeeted him into the sea.

Art 2 - Maedhros' Locket || @fall-for-tolkien

Ah yes. I totally didn’t go rummaging through my drafts last minute, and then found this WIP that I immediately cleaned up, re-lined, and coloured within two hours, right? Sorry for the quality, Finno and Gil deserve so much better, but alas, I am simply a forgetful and imperfect artist. Shame for Lyssa for a thousand years!

SKsksks. Anyways. I am a subscriber to the HC that Gil-Galad is Finno and Mae’s son. Probably not their biological son, but could also be their biological son. I have no idea, I haven’t had the time to sort out my ideas and my headcanons on those two yet. Besides, my headcanons change all the time depending on my mood, so I make no promises. This was inspired by @outofangband and a discussion we had about Maedhros having a turtle pendant. Then I thought, what about a turtle shaped locket that was given to him by Finno containing a painting of his beloved and their son (I don’t HC that they’re married. They wanted to get married, but never got around to it.).

Was the locket destroyed in the aftermath of Maedhros yeeting himself into that volcano? Or did the locket eventually come into the possession of Gil-Galad in the aftermath of his father’s death? Does the locket hang on a display in Rivendell? If so, did Elrod bring it with him when he sailed West? I have no idea. But all of these seem really fun possibilities for the locket’s fate if it ever outlived its original owner.

Art 1 - The Sovreign of Mirkwood @fall-for-tolkien

For the first submission, I drew Alcarinna/Aldairé, the genderfluid spouse of Thranduil. This one was mostly the artist being indulgent, because as much as I think about them, I never really had an excuse to draw them. I imagine that Legolas is not Thranduil and Alcarinna’s only child, thus, the infant they’re holding could really be anyone from Legolas to one of his older siblings.

Whatever the case, I left it up to the claimant to figure it out. But in my opinion, it could be their eldest child. Also Alcarinna is supposed to have some scars on their face that I forgot to draw thanks to me rushing to get this out in time for the submission deadline. So just pretend they’re there, okay? Hahahaha.
