First argument: “Sakura does not understand who Sasuke is”
Firstly yes she does in chapter 66 Sakura can tell that due to the curse mark that Sasuke is in pain:
She then begs for him to withdraw from the second round exam:
Sasuke then explains as to why he can’t due to being an avenger:
In chapter 67 Sakura (after Sasuke explains why he cannot withdraw) just decides to keep an eye on Sasuke:
Second Argument: “Sasuke knows less about Sakura”:
In chapter 36 Sasuke was able to recognize that something was off about Sakura prior to them signing up for the chunin exams:
In the same chapter once they get to the first exam floor Sasuke points out Sakura’s analytical skills just to cheer her up:
Chapter 56 He’s able to tell when she’s lying as she lies to Naruto about her hair being cut:
Third Argument: “ Sakura’s obsessive love is one sided”
Wrong again in chapter 693 Kakashi even explains that Sakura just wanted to SAVE Sasuke:
Even Kakashi in chapter 675 says that Sakura loves Sasuke on a different level now and that she won’t cut him off because she wants to save him:
You wanna know whose “love” is consistently called obsessive? Karin(which this is NOT an anti Karin post whatsoever these are from her databook entries):
Fourth Argument: “ Sasuke does not love Sakura.” & “Are Sasuke’s feelings connected to Sakura’s?”
In chapter 133 Sasuke demands that Naruto save Sakura no matter what:
Sasuke tells Sarada that she is the result of the love between himself and Sakura:
Even on the very last page of Naruto Gaiden the caption says this:
Fifth Argument: “Sasuke is not in love with Sakura.” And “Sasuke Retsuden is still the bare minimum”:
In chapter 3 of Retsuden Sasuke gets jealous because Jiji tried to touch Sakura’s hair:
Also in Chapter 3 of Retsuden because Jiji tried to touch Sakura’s hair and when he (Jiji) explained that where he is from they exchange wedding rings and that what if some other man tried to flirt with Sakura since she doesn’t have a wedding ring (as Jiji didn’t know Sasuke was married since he and Sakura don’t have rings on).
in chapter four Sasuke has a flashback to the conversation between himself and Jiji:
Sasuke then gives Sakura a ring he made himself out of earth style in the same chapter:
In chapter 9 of Retsuden Sasuke panics because he cannot find Sakura under all the debris:
In the same chapter Sasuke tells Sakura not to dare apologize to him because Jiji attacked her:
The ring was infused with Sasuke’s chakra (as said by Ino in chapter 10)and it was what helped Sasuke find Sakura in chapter 9(also mentioned that if it weren’t for said ring he wouldn’t have found her)
in chapter 10 Sakura teases Sasuke about the reason as to why he gave her the ring(it makes Sasuke get all embarrassed thus he hides his face)

Having second thoughts about this one because it is a bit more niche (I know everyone has their own headcanon for Zuko and Katara’s future together and this is just mine), a bit more indulgent, and SO cheesy; the dragging-a-loved-one-to-a-special-place-while-they-keep-their-eyes-covered-and-then-you- tenderly-tell-them-to-open-their-eyes trope for instance… Leave me alone; I couldn’t help myself. Haha I think we all know that Zuko would not abide Katara not getting an honorary statue if she was his Fire Lady. >.> This animatic gets in and out quickly, since I’m still working full time, and also at the time, I had quite a few prompts left. But now that I’m working on a Reunion Part II, I kind of wish I could have saved this one for later, but oh well, I gotta post for the prompt!

I have been reading A LOT, and i mean A LOT of fanfiction in the last year ( thank you American politics for giving me so much anxiety I needed something to disassociate to lol) so I have ran into a few Siren Katara's and felt compelled to draw one. Katara thought she heard someone trying to take her meal/man from her lol. I honestly just wanted to try a little more dramatic lighting so here she is *--*
Jetkotara AU idea(s) (myself and garbagegurl on discord) :
*Warning this is a little Jet-centric but trust they are in a consensual throuple relationship*
Zuko and Katara (really it was Katara) seeing Jet alive and well in Ba Sing Se. Katara had been talking about Jet just the day before only for her to spot him in Ba Sing Se alive
Katara spotting Jet from the wagon and calling out to him as she runs towards him.
Jet flipping out at the site of Zuko since he knows he's a fire bender (he doesn't know that he's fire lord yet) Katara quickly freezes him to wall so she can explain everything
Katara spending a lot of time around Jet brewing cheating rumors. Zuko catching wind of it and is confused because Katara tells him she sees Jet a lot plus they all are sleeping together soooo
Katara giving Jet the address to the apartment her and Zuko are staying in after inviting him for dinner
Jet not being able to sleep because he over hears Zuko and Katara loudly having sex in the next room of which turns him on and he jacks off to hearing them.
Jet remembering the anniversary of his home being burned down by a group of four men (Jet doesn't know their group name)and Zuko immediately knows who they are.
Zuko and Jet tell Katara they'll be back in a few days. She makes a joke about Jet going on a life changing trip with Zuko
They pick off 3/4 rough rhino members one by one and when they find the leader after they get rid of him they proceed to passionately make out in the rain while covered in the man's blood
Jet trusting Zuko enough to allow him to top him. They have a few rounds of sex in the bed of the leader all while his near lifeless body watches them (Jet leaves him barely alive just for this).
Before leaving they have sex in the leaders shower, eating all his food then burn him and the house down afterwards.
Katara returning to the apartment finding Jet still being there and she rants to him about the sexist council men
Jet runs Katara a bath + he gives her a massage afterwards and they have sex in the bathroom + bedroom
Zuko watching Jet and Katara have sex from a chair while he's all tied up and blindfolded
I’m just gonna say it. You Kataang newgens have gotten really fucking annoying on this blog as of late. I’m no Aang hater, but the continual ignorance and dismissal towards how sterilized and self-sacrificial Katara had to become, both in-universe and as a character, to be a match for him is annoying. The best they could do for her in LOTK was put her in proximity to the children she spawned for Aang because the writers think her attachment to Aang is all her character was worth, and you all denied it so much throughout the early 2010s when it was airing. Not to mention the toxicity towards any ZK who shares a different opinion god forbid, and not to mention the blatant rug-sweeping of Aang’s non-consensual SA of Katara with that kiss…
Contrast this all with Zuko, who actually gave a damn about Katara’s agency, not idolizing her like a flawless person who belongs to the Nice Guy, as so many incels do. To the point of being willing to KILL for her with the soldier who killed Katara’s mother. Zuko being open to Katara’s darker side and her penchant for vengeance reminds me of Damon from The Vampire Diaries, in that they both accepted their women for ALL their flaws, vampirism and a desire for vengeance alike, unlike Stefan and Aang who only wanted their perfect Virgin Mary ideals of who they THOUGHT Elena and Katara were.
I genuinely miss the late 2000s when ZKs had colonized the shipping discourse of this media-illiterate fandom, because at least we got actually good dark, angst fan content and the romantic scene wasn’t all vanilla “ZuTaRA iSn’T cANoN” Kataangs scurrying around online forums, screeching at people who dared to prefer more than a white-bread ship between the woobified, godplaying, superficial little boy protagonist and the mature, scarred, flawed young woman female lead. You all just continued to saddle Zuko with that abuser Mai, despite the physical and mental turmoil she inflicted on him, instead of letting him feel the love of a decent maternal woman in canon.
It’s honestly amusing the way you all are foaming at the mouth over NATLA’s clear ZK preference. Now you know how us ZKs felt during ATLA’s airing, having to hide in the shadows for fear of being persecuted for so much as wanting a ship between Katara and a complex man who was actually her age. AO3 came out a few months after the show ended, but at least on the FanFiction.net side of things, people were absolutely brutal to Zuko. They demonized him, character-assassinated him, tossed him to the side for Kataang hetslop. But now that the shoe’s on the other foot and the ZK fandom is actually on level ground and equal discursive popularity with you Kataang relics, it’s a problem. Too bad. So sad.
I will be overjoyed when NATLA finally canonizes Zutara instead of Kataang in the Season 3 finale, just you all wait for next summer. Finally we’ll have a leg up and you Kataangs can eat a slice of humble pie in the corner while Zuko enjoys the spoils of (shipping) war: Katara by his side, and an actually narratively cohesive couple with actual chemistry.
