so hear me out on this. i want the idol group to be all 4 previous player characters, Agent 3/Captain, Agent 4, Agent 8 and New agent 3. considering how much time they spend with world famous idols, it would make sense if they learned how to perform as idols from them. for splatfests they can have 2 members on each side mixing up which ones are paired up each fest for variety, and on special occasions like the seasonal fests they can do a tourney bracket style thing like that tmnt splatfest from splatoon 2. another cool thing they could do is let you pick the gender of each idol and it would change the song's vocals to match.
