hi! i dont really post but i recently went on a VIP tour at epic and our super awesome tour guide found out i was really into darkmoor and showed me the cannon lore for it..
( theres literally a whole manual for it its so insane)
( i thought i was crazy for thinking the lore was the deep, but it's so much more)
so i thought for the couple of people who gaf, i would share :)
first signs of settlement in Darkmoor
feral vampires inhabit the forests surrounding
these vampires tended to capture the settling humans and kill them
the village is officially named Darkmoor by the mayor, known as the “Burgomaster”
the Burgomaster was in charge of everything in Darkmoor
mole people served as servants for vampires
due to poor working conditions, the mole people start a revolt
these mole people were digging catacombs for Darkmoor for the vampires to hide away from the sun
the vampires then constructed a huge castle in the caverns were they then lived, instead of the forest
the vampires come out from the catacombs and attack the humans on the surface
this started the first real conflict between humans and vampires
construction of the well that was used to sacrifice humans, "Never forget you exist by our will alone" is etched onto the side
humans started being treated as livestock for the vampires
over the next couple years, vampires rise to the surface to keep the humans in check
the Broken Blade Tavern is constructed
Dracula, the leader of the vampires, disappears suddenly, many think he was killed
Dracula, in fact, was not dead
Abraham Van Helsing arrives in Darkmoor and starts a monster hunting guild known as the Hound
Van Helsing leaves Darkmoor suddenly afterwards, many theorize that he was killed
Henry Frankenstein arrives in Darkmoor
he develops an obsession with the village and its history
Henry’s dad buys Darkmoor, therefore making Henry the Lord of Darkmoor
the Frankenstein Manor was built to house the village’s new owner
Henry Frankenstein creates his monster
Henry Frankenstein returns to Darkmoor
Henry creates a truce between the vampires and humans, so there is peace for now
Dracula, who was gone for years, is now an enemy to the vampires because they felt the truce was unfair
rumors spread that Dracula was killed
the opposing vampires see this as an opportunity to take power
inside Das Stakehaus, opposing vampires murder Dracula supporters
the vampires stake the others through the heart and mount them on the wall as trophies next to the past leaders
The Guild of the Mystics, led by Maleva, arrive in Darkmoor
the Guild started hunting down werewolves, however it is said that Maleva is a werewolf herself, or uses werewolf blood to kep herself alive
a neighboring town called Bogtown is destroyed by monsters, and was abandoned
A random guy in Bogtown later sets up boat tours in the swamp, advertising the Gillman as an attraction of some sorts (maybe for a future ride? wink wink)
Victoria Frankenstein arrives in Darkmoor and claims to be a descendant of Henry Frankenstein
she starts living in the Manor and starts experimenting
Victoria is revealed to have found Dracula sleeping in the caverns below Darkmoor, she now seeks to tame him
She is very proud of her work to control the monsters in Darkmoor, so she opens up the Manor to show the village what she’s been working on (monsters unchained)
the resteraunt was run by vampire familiars, but not actual vampires
before humans established themselves in Darkmoor, it was ruled by vampire nobility
different sets of vampire nobility were constantly conflicting and trying to kill each other
one set of vampire nobility invited other leaders to the Stakehaus as a trick, later murdering them
the vampires were killed by a stake to the heart while they were distracted eating
The killed leaders were then mounted on the walls of the restaurant as trophies
