Small Thornhelm Princess Apo AU facts - 

Whenever Apo feels lost or doesn’t know what to do, they will start acting like their father or make choices their father would make.

For the beginning of their stay in Bannerfall Cherri didn’t think she was allowed to make friends with anyone who wasn’t a knight. 

Apo still compares Cherri to the sun, as well as a rose. 

A way Cherri shows that she sees Apo as an equal by the end of Bannerfall is by letting her stand in their blindside. (Cherri always saw Apo as above her due to her position. Someone they wanted but could never be with.)

When Cherri adopted the Prince she tried to be strict the way people were with her as a kid but couldn’t really bring herself to be like them. They were constantly trying to show the Prince they would always be there for him and provided a lot of comfort they never got as a kid. 

Apo and Cherri are still constantly in each other's space. They enjoy each other's company and feel safe with each other. 

Cherri hates getting sand thrown in her face because the blindness reminds her of the time, she lost one of her eyes. (The King of Thornhelm shoved a torch against one side of her face.) It sends them into a panic attack, believing they are going blind permanently. 

Cherri can adapt to changes better than Apo. 

Apo does a lot of self-reflecting whenever they feel like they messed up. (It was one of the few things she could do when locked in her room.)

Cherri has thorn scars on their body from when they were a kid and were put to fight against Thornhelm mages to see if their magic would show itself. 

Apo keeps sneaking new pet's home. Cherri noticed but couldn't stop her.

Vsmp Pearl and Apo is actually such a duo that never happened because no one in Oakhurst actually knew a single thing about Apo. They knew she had a lover but didn't know a single thing about Cherri, while Apo recognized Cleo's care for Pearl and Pearl calling Cleo her "roomie to death" and definitely related to that.

I've also talked previously about similarities between Apo's and Pearl's turning, which yet again went unnoticed because no one knew anything about Apo.

And the recent @vampostingtime post about Cleo and Pearl having arguments made me think about how having information about Apo would've made the arguments worse.

For a while I had a fic idea of Apo sending letters inviting Pearl, Cleo, Abolish and maybe Sausage to her and Cherri's funeral because she wanted at least someone present at the event and at least someone to know about their grave. (And also it's a coward's way out of talking about Oakhurst - you don't have to address what happened to the others if you're already dead. Also I have not written a single word of the fic dw about it).

And imagine Pearl and Cleo learning that Apo never turned Cherri and that they asked her to kill them on her deathbed. Especially after Cleo had convinced herself and everyone in Oakhurst that Apo is selfish. Imagine Pearl and Cleo realizing that "selfish" Apo ultimately had less blood on their hands than both of them? Definitely would've played into their trauma and both of them believing themselves to be monsters.

listen. I love hellfire duo as much as the next person and I love the idea of Pantheon SMP hellfire (I’ve read the fic, I’ve talked about it, I have an idea of my own, big fan) but I feel like we all gotta remember that theres a very real chance that it wont happen which is fine and I’m happy with it. I feel like there are a few people that almost expect there to be mentions of Cherri and hellfire in PanSMP because the two did their things in the past 3 SMPs (and especially because they did it in Vampires even though Cherri wasn’t actually present) but we gotta remember that Apo’s gonna write stories and they’re not always gonna centre around or even include her as a pair with Cherri and its kinda unfair to expect something like that all the time. Especially since Apo is a POW owner and is therefore going to be in all of their SMPs, making it seem like she should/is expected to do something with Cherri’s character, especially in a romantic sense, every single time feels pushy and a little upsetting.

I’m not saying that you shouldn’t have ideas and write and draw and be creative and share your creations! This isn’t meant to be an attack on fans and fan creators at all!! I absolutely think that you should have ideas and be creative! Apo and Cherri have a nice friendship and dynamic and they put that into their characters and writing very well so I obviously understand wanting to have more stuff of them in canon and in fan works, I just think it’s important to highlight the fact that its an option for them that they won’t include every time and your interest in their stories shouldn’t hinge on whether they’re going to do gay roleplay together or not.

I also want to point out that I don’t think this is that much of an issue at the moment, I just wanted to bring it up for everyone to keep in mind. From what I’ve seen I don’t think there are really any people that will make a big deal out of it if Cherri and hellfire duo aren’t brought up in Pantheon SMP and beyond. I do believe that people will be chill and fine with it, I definitely don’t think there will be backlash or anything of the sort. And I haven’t seen Apo and Cherri talk about it either so I think we’re good. Again, I just wanted to mention it for people to think about before it potentially gets to that point.
