AnAn magazine’s list of actors age 35-49 (or so it seems) from the 2014.07.02 issue I was scanning yesterday.

Since I can’t read the text I don’t know what this list is for or why they chose whom they did. I’m actually curious to know because there are some really obvious omissions for the age range, like Kimura Takuya and Abe Hiroshi.

(Oh wait, the latter is 50 as of last month. Still, Kimura…)

I got Nishijima Hidetoshi’s 2011 photobook Memories of Venice a few weeks ago. It’s a collection of really lovely photos of him touring the city and just hanging out (I’m guessing he was there to promote his 2011 film Cut at the film festival). It’s pretty thick as far as actor photobooks go; these scans are just a very small sampling. And in the back there’s a filmography (in Japanese of course) of his works up to 2011. You can get it at YesAsia for ~$40 USD.
