Ah, this blog.

This blog that I have not updated in over 6 months.

This blog made out of sheer devotion, because I wanted to reread a manga instantly after finishing it for the first time.

Why haven’t I wanted to gush about Noragami for the past 6 months?

It’s not like I’m not updated - I am, I read the new chapter every month, as usual. But I haven’t wanted to talk about it for ages.

Why not?

I could blame it on a lot of things, honestly.

For one, the story is moving by inches. Which is fine, it’s fine, I read a twitter post about how “Noragami needs patience to be appreciated.” I’m not patient, it’s true.

But every one of my favourite characters has been failing at the same thing for months. You think Yato will finally give Father more than a scratch? No! You think Father will fight Amaterasu at last? No! You think Yukine will finally speak with any character? Not really!

I’m just... tired.

All the lady main characters (except Nora) are either asleep, chatting or a combination of the two, and I feel like joining them at this point. Enough fighting, let’s take a nap with Bishamon.

Yeah, no, it’s my patience. It’s not the manga’s fault, really. They’re doing a good job, the art is still lovely. I just wish I was still devoted to it.

There is just something to be said about an obsession fading into an empty shell, and watching that shell drift off the kitchen counter in the wind.

If only Father wasn't trash. If only his abuse of Nora and Yato hasn't been the most hurtful piece of media I've consumed. I can never ever be on his side :/

Man it feels like I’ve been waiting forever for this fight to finish. Yato reaching for Yukine and refusing to call his name is breaking my heart this should be illegal :(

Also, don’t mention Yukine’s backstory to me ever. It’s too cruel.
