wild phantom chase || closed rp
Yukine heard Yato’s phone ring and immediately moved close to listen to what it was. He didn’t catch much, but it wasn’t long before Yato blabbed. “A job, right okay let’s go.” He nodded allowing himself to be swept away by Yato’s teleportation.
As usual he stood quietly behind his master as he spoke with the client, peering into the little house behind him and watching the phantoms wander.
”There are so many.” He said quietly, wondering if the number of phantoms they defeated actually mattered in the long run. This would be a gold mine if it did. “Let’s do it.” He nodded. transforming for Yato at his command and groaning as they scattered.
”Okay so now what.” He asked as they left the house in search of the little phantoms. “Are we really gonna kill every one of those little things, there were like a hundred.”
Yato strolled on the guard rail of the sidewalk they found themselves patrolling. "Listen here, Yukine, he was a paying customer so we have to do as he wishes. And, if that means going through every nook and cranny of this damn city then that is exactly what we--"
There! He spotted one. Just by a vending machine outside of a cafe. A tiny little thing. Looked like a tiny chicken. A hand jutted out in front of the blond to halt his movements. "Yukine..." Yato waited until he had the younger boy's eyes and lifted a finger to his own mouth. "Shh...sekki--" He commanded and once his shinki was in his double-sword form, the god did his best to sneak up on the tin phantom.
With a light swing and the simple mention of 'render' the thing was vanquished. Then, another showed up right after it, crawling from underneath the vending machine. When Yato swung at it, he killed that one as well.
"Yukine, return." A confident laugh. "That wasn't so hard, was it? Just about 20 more! Hahaha!"
