To all the girls who are embarrassed about the way that they handled their trauma, I want to relieve you of that burden. The feeling of having been immature, “crazy”, or annoying comes from the societal pressure to always keep your cool, even when under extremely traumatic and painful circumstances, or you’ll be painted as a “crazy woman.”

You had to heal. And in order to do that, you broke a little. That’s ok. Look back on your younger self with understanding. She isnt crazy. She worked hard to get you where you are today.
