Decided to read through some ācontroversial classicsā that I, as a 30 year old woman, should have read by now.
Yesterday, I read Catcher in the Rye by J.D Salinger, havenāt been able to stop thinking about how heartbreaking it was. Iām not sure I would have felt the same way if I had read it in high school. I spent most of my time reading the book wondering why NO ONE was helping a kid that was extremely unwell.
Today, I started Fahrenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury and I already know itās going to be a wild ride from the first like 30 pages. Definitely more creeped out by this one. Keep in mind I genuinely have no clue what this book is about.
Also on the list are 1984, Animal Farm by George Orwell and The Kite Runner by Khaled Hosseni.
