Give it a little read!
As I have said, I've been writing again. I'm so rusty but it has been so nice to get back into it so give it a little read especially if you like the dystopian genre. It is one of my favorite genres to read and I think this challenge has inspired me to dig deeper into it.

FACTS. Haha
To all the writers and/or bloggers out there here’s a question; Thoughts on using Medium or Vocal+?
Are you an artist? Do you enjoy 3D modeling and pixel art?
There’s this really fantastic artist going around check out @kawaiisnail_ on @Instagram
He’s been doing loads of collars and if you’re a business or an individual needing some creative boost in your designs here’s an artist that’ll take that brainstorming headache away. Enjoy!
Fun fact: I don’t read through my tumblr blogs to edit them. I pretty much use it to mind vomit and leave it there for the world to see what sort of colors are inside me. It’s really fun to not be a crazy perfectionist all the time. I remember how careful I was when I was in university with my writing. Everything I wrote I read again and again and again….a small confession though, I didn’t always do that for major papers and I still got A’s….who knew? Anyway I know no one asked for such a fun fat but maybe I’ll just throw it out there for anyone who needs to read this; you don’t have to present perfect all the time. Just make something good and share it. Have you ever seen anyone turn down a cupcake because it didn’t look right? Still tastes good that’s all I’m saying.
Leaving Writer's Block behind me...
Leaving writer's block behind feels pretty great I must say. All those pep talks and being patient with the process has finally paid off. I must be honest I am now overwhelmed (in a good way) with the amount of ideas taht are crawling out of the caverns of my mind.
So what have I done? I've decided to start publishing more things starting with this small humble beginning of a story. Check it out here: https://vocal.media/confessions/don-t-be-that-person
It's all about not being that person. Nobody wants to be that person.
Don't forget to like, share and even leave a little tip.
We’ll Be Human Again!
I’ve taken my own advice. In the previous post I talked about just writing because you love it and because you can. Not for anyone else but for you. I’ve done it I’ve completed a story that I can’t publish on here because it is being submitted for a contest. I am doubtful I will win since it’s my first writing competition in years. I’ve finally finished a story and it feels so good.
Going on this journey of creating something again feels absolutely freeing and amazing. It’s weird what grief can do to a creative person. They will either flourish or they will whither and their creativity will have no outlet and they’ll be forever walking through ideas covered in dust. It’s also amazing how quickly it is to clean out an attack. How quickly dust can be removed. It’s amazing how quickly the lights can go on.
There’s not much more to this than what I have already said in my previous post. Keep writing people. Keep making things. Keep creating and recreating things and remember you can do it for you and you don’t have to carry the pressure of highly opinionated audience You do you boo.
This is all about story right?
When you start to tell the story do you know which way your characters will go? Do you know the ending is it even in sight for you? Writing is such a tricky thing. So many people say writers shouldn’t sell themselves short and then they go around and say that writers don’t make money. Then you see that there’s loads of writers making tons of money and they promote themselves like crazy on social media and proclaim their earnings from the hashtag roof tops.
The pressure can start to build up for a lot of writers. What else would you want to do then to get paid for what you love to do? That’s the dream isn’t it? For someone to call you up and say “Hey, don’t you love to do that one thing? I wanna pay you big time for it.” This blog is just a passion project an outlet for my love of writing and I’d encourage so many more creatives to just have an outlet where you do what you love because you love it. Not for the largest audience in the world and not even for the loads of followers and not even for the thousands of likes. You’re creative and that’s enough to do what you love for the sake of it.
Just write it already.
Have you been sitting on that story or that article for some time? Sitting on that idea and chewing on it again and again wondering how to even begin? Stop thinking about what your future audience is going to think and just do it. Just write it already and make it yours. Have you heard people say that they often buy presents for people in this way; getting something they they would like for themselves? For some people this works. They pick something they like and buy for someone else and a lot of the times the person who has received the gift is going to like it. In the same way do this with your writing. With your art. With your passion project. Do something you will like because you like it.
So take your idea and throw it up onto a piece of paper and if that’s too overwhelming type it up on your phone, speak it into a voice memo, draw a crazy doodle of what it would look like. Anything to get that idea out and just write it already. Just create it already. This has to be one of the biggest preaching to the choir moments in history.
I’ve been meaning to write this and at first I was just going to write this to myself. A sort of mirror pep talk to myself but here we are writing it to the world and you want to know something? Maybe 2 people will read this and most likely maybe none but at least I’ve done it. Hopefully it encourages anyone kind stuck and overwhelmed to be free from pressures of being that “wow” to the world. You are already a “wow” to the world anyway so go for it. Dig deep, get messy, jam to your favorite music and drink your favorite tea or coffee. Enjoy being creative.
Enjoy making trash. Enjoy making beautiful trash. Share it with no one or share it with just one it doesn’t even matter. Just do it and at the end you’ll feel so relieved. When your hand is nice and sore or when you’ve pushed the “post” button. Let yourself float on the high that you just did it because you can and because you love it not for anyone else but you. Then let the world enjoy it too. But only when they’re ready.
So at the beginning when I asked the question “This is about a story right?” I was intending to remind myself that I have no obligation to make anything for anyone else. I write because I love it and yes it’s about a story. It has been about that and do I know where it’s going? No. Do I need to walk through mountains of writers’ advice on how to finish a story and know where it’s going? No. I want to be apart of what the reader goes through. I want to experience the story for myself and maybe I’ll be disappointed or maybe I’ll just be glad for once I wrote a story without wondering how many people will read it.
The hope? Of course that people will read and enjoy. The reality? Maybe not but that’s okay.
Bottom line is to just write it already. Just enjoy your passion. Enjoy loving something as free as creativity.

Snack for Thought #1
Don’t let fear rule over your passion. You’ve got this. You can do this. No one can achieve your goals for you. Get up and do it. Get out and go there. Whatever it is it’s not impossible. Whatever it is it’s not unreachable. Don’t let fear rob your passion. If you love it do it. Be fearless in your creativity.
You Can
You can hear it in the streets
You can hear it in a thousand heartbeats
You can wonder all day long
But you can’t remember the words to that song
“Hmmm hmmm hmmm” you hum a melody something quite familiar but when it comes to it you just can’t do it.
But you can hear it
You can hear it in the mall
You can hear it in a banquet hall
What is that song l??
“All you need is love....”
That’s it!!
That’s it!!
The anthem on the hearts of thousands and billions. Love.
Love.
Love.
Yes, you can love.
The attempt.
At first it was slow but the eagerness inside me burned a hole straight through my soul.
Then I became over confident as if i knew best. No one told me the half of it I felll and I fell good when I stood “the” test.
Humble. Be humble.
I’ve come back to square one again breathing oxygen in my lungs again. Weak, but that’s okay. You’ve gotta start somewhere...or so that’s what they say.
So I did, I started somewhere. Wherever here is. Wherever I am. On a scale from 1 to 10, least to greatest, rookie to expert. I have had to start somewhere. So I’ll start here somewhere between here and there.
And I’ll go far. Yes. As far as I can. To the farthest reaches. Farther than the span of my hand. I’ll go and go from this attempt to the next. Where failure won’t divine me and neither will a check.
Passion. That’s where it is. I’ve started on square one. An attempt. It began with passion, a dream and a vision.
You’ve got to start somewhere. So I’ll start right here.
