that comment about how you should not borrow grief from the future has saved me multiple times from spiraling into an inescapable state of anxiety. like every time i find myself thinking about how something in the future could go wrong i remember that comment and i think to myself: well i never know, it might get better. it might not even happen the way i think it will and if it does happen and it is sad and bad ill be sad about it then, when it happens. and it’s somehow soo freeing

Sir! Remain silent! Don’t say anything until I get there. They’ve got no evidence anyway. -I think we do.

You don’t have to do something special to be friends. You don’t have to worry about each other after a fight. Jokes can be made as comforting words, or cry for their pain instead. No. Just by being together, we were friends.

oh no i’m seeing cycles and recurring themes in my own life
"doesnt israel have a right to exist too??" well its an apartheid ethnostate so no
"what about the people dont the PEOPLE have a right to exist??" yes! they do! however, they do not have a right to an apartheid ethnostate
"what about the holocaust survivors in israel dont they-" yes they have a right to exist too, however surviving one genocide does not give you the right to commit another, nor does it give you the right to an apartheid ethnostate

watching white people prostrate themselves like "oh my God how are we meant to continue on knowing there's a literal genocide?!?" is so frustrating. I know they mean well and it's honestly so heart-warming that people are waking up to the anti-colonial fight. but I need white people and non-Indigenous people to understand that your friends of colour, and especially your friends who are Indigenous, have carried the grief and anguish you're feeling for their whole lives. "intergenerational trauma" aren't buzzwords. It's this. It's that rage, hurt, and anguish that we carry from our parents, grandparents, great grandparents because they went through some kind of genocide just like these. so it's only by sheer luck we exist at all and we're born furious from it. because we live in the world so many white people are only just now seeing. we've lived in it our whole lives. "how are we meant to continue on as if everything's normal?" sorry but this is normal. This has been normal for a very long time. but I'll let you in on a secret, if you figure out how to harness that anger sustainably into action, this doesn't have to be normal.
why should palestinians have to leave behind their land because israel wont stop killing them. why should anyone have to leave behind their life and memories and sentimental value just because an aggressor is left unchallenged. please think this sentiment through and delete it from your thoughts. instead of blaming an oppressed people for living in a hostile land, ask who is making that land hostile to live in.
the men and boys are innocent too.
we cry "the innocent women and children" to appeal to the masses, to try and force their sympathy, but the men and boys are innocent too.
I have seen sons crying out for their mothers, their fathers, their siblings. I have seen them break down at the loss of their families. I have seen them cling to their dead and grieve.
I have seen fathers cradle their dead children, seen them kiss their faces and hold their little hands. I have seen them faint with grief when asked to identify the dead. I have seen them carry their sons and daughters. I have seen them fasting to provide what little they can for their families.
I have seen men and boys digging through the rubble with just their bare hands, I have seen them comforting strangers, playing with children, rocking them, hushing them, even if the face of such imminent danger. I have seen them cry, seen them grieve, seen them break down into each other's arms, seen them be selfless, beyond selfless, becoming something I don't have a word for.
I have seen the men who are doctors refuse to leave their patients, even when they have no medicine or supplies to give them, even when they're threatened with bombings. I have seen fathers who have lost all their children pick orphans up into their arms and proclaim them their child so they are not alone. I have seen men and boys digging pets out of the rubble.
the men are innocent too. the men and boys are being hurt and killed too. the men and boys are grieving too. the men and boys are scared too. the men and boys are fighting to save their people too. the men and boys deserve to be fought for too.
Rewatched The Good Place for the first time since s4 dropped and. Oh my god. The Good Place said "people are a result of their environment but we always have a moral responsibility to be better" and The Good Place said "every day the world gets a little more complicated and it gets a little harder to be good" and The Good Place said "even in the face of total nihilism, when nothing you do will matter, you still have to at least try. Because trying is better than the alternative" and The Good Place said "if you have bills to pay and shit to deal with you don't have time or energy to become a better person" and then The Good Place really said "people get better when they get external love and support. How can we hold it against them when they don't " and THEN The Good Place really said "no one is irredeemable. Everyone can try to be better today than they were yesterday" AND THEN! The Good Place said "Heaven is just enough time with the people that you love" OH MY FUCKING GOD.

There are not enough words to describe this. They are attacking homes and any gazan institution. There is no safe place to hide from the bombs. they are bombing all symbols of life and palestinian expression for the purpose of taking over gaza and placing their own authority, their own institutions, their own settlements atop the largest palestinian mass grave. And the israeli public is cheering for it
I want to make very clear that the strike being over is a VERY good thing, and I recognize and believe that fully. It's a good thing for workers' rights as a whole, and I'm happy that people will have better pay and working conditions.
However, we need to remember that MANY of our favorite actors revealed that they were supportive of zionism and genocide during the strike. We cannot forget that. Please don't forget that. Be happy for this achievement in workers' rights, but do NOT forgive the actors who have supported the ongoing genocide in Palestine.
Do not allow them to celebrate. They do not get to celebrate while they support the murder of Palestinians.
Israel has worked hard to portray Gaza as a barren wasteland, backwater that is a terrorist stronghold. In reality, Gaza is a beautiful city/region with a rich history that has been decimated from constant bombings and strangled by the blockade. So much of what is being destroyed by Israel are restaurants, bookshops, schools, universities, houses and much of what contributes to life in Gaza and people’s livelihoods. Places that are attached to and filled with the memories of Palestinians in Gaza. It’s not just about making life miserable for the people who live there, but about projecting a particular image of Gaza to the world. This is also similar to how the US has portrayed places like Afghanistan to justify its invasions.

I feel like anxiously attached crazy type people are like over represented like I want to hear from the emotionally repressed girlies and gays who like literally are like :| when they passionately want to jump someone’s bones. The true stoics who know it’s weird but literally cannot even force themselves to express their attraction to someone unless they 110% know it is reciprocated because they have repressed their emotions so much they no longer can authentically generate ways to convey their feelings
