Here's uBlock Origin's official guide to bypassing youtube's anti-adblock popups, updated weekly. Please share widely. Don't reward google for their predatory anti-consumer bullshit
To summarize: 1. Get uBlock Origin and make sure it's updated to the latest version. 2. Click on the gear icon to get to the dashboard, go to "Filter lists", and make sure that "uBlock filters - Quick fixes" is up to date
Repeat those steps any time you get another popup (google and uBlock are having an arms race right now so it might stop working at any moment), and if you have any more problems, read the reddit thread for troubleshooting advice
Super fucked up that I can’t be a master-level expert in knitting AND woodworking AND silversmithing AND embroidery AND soap making AND spinning AND -
“Who would ever want to be immortal? Can you imagine the loneliness, knowing that there’s no one else like you, cursed to outlive -” shut up!! Some of us have shit to do and aren’t cowards!!
BADASS AWESOME SKELETON STIMBOARD
spoiler: the weird trick was "offering more pay and benefits"
fr this was an excellent article though. it has the "no shit" energy of a study that says not bullying your children makes them happier, but tears apart the "nobody wants to work anymore" rhetoric and points out how it was the mbta *ceding to union demands* that caused the spike in applicants. read it here
sometimes angels are real. And they are in the form of the people letting you merge from the ramp onto the highway
when they slow down and do that little hand gesture.. i feel like a wounded animal being rescued from a barbed wire fence. my life is in your hands and you have shown me such kindness. we’re soul bonded now ms. kia sorento
Something deeply painful is the fact that seasons, especially fall, dont feel the same. Not because of individual maturity but because climate change has impacted the weather patterns so so so much that we cant even experience the same annual shifts that our ancestors have for centuries
I feel displaced, i yearn for the spring, summer, fall, and winter that i can barely remember experiencing
if you’re a human adult you physically need to eat actual vegetables, read real books, work, exercise, be outdoors, have sex, and have other real adult humans to talk to all on at LEAST a weekly basis or else you go will literally go completely insane and the problem is too many people choose to skip all those basic needs on purpose
“I’m depressed and always tired and my body is in mysterious pain all the time for no reason” yeah you’ve spent a whole month isolated except for talking to online people and coworkers and eating convenience store snacks for half your meals with 0 physical activity like that isn’t passive self harm. of course your body doesn’t like that, it’s exhausting
*gives you a foxglove* *gives you a nightshade* *gives you a devil’s trumpet* *gives you a moonflower* *gives you an oleander* *gives you a lily of the valley* *gives you a hydrangea* *gives you wisteria* *gives you a buttercup* *gives you a daffodil* *gives you an iris* *gives you elder berries* *gives you a
please slow down I can only eat so fast
being an adult is just dragging urself kicking and screaming to things that you will enjoy and that will be good for you
clenching my teeth and muttering under my breath "you'll be happy you did it you'll be happy you did it you'll be happy you did it" as I physically force myself out the door to go Do Things
being very firm with myself every time I think about bailing and saying "no. you committed to this. it will improve your quality of life. you will enjoy it. now put on your big boy pants and go."
when i was a teenager it felt very revolutionary to be cruel to myself. like some kind of slow passive protest against how much everything hurt. i starved myself of sleep and food and tenderness because it felt right. it felt sharp and angry and radical and i wanted to be those things. adulthood is the realisation that the world is already working to cut into you well before you learn how to do it yourself. caring for yourself and others is the real protest
literally i cannot stress how important it is that everyone has a thing.
i do not care if it is a color or a hobby or an animal, everyone needs to have a thing so that their friends can see that thing and think of them that's what being alive is all about

I scrolled down and thought this was a photograph of a painting sitting behind some candles. Not until I scrolled back up did I realise that the candles are part of the painting.
gods greatest punishment was putting 1 trillion cool rocks on earth and no one with eyes big enough to see them all
..ive been such a fool
thats okay ^-^ the wise man is blessed with knowledge once but the fool is blessed to learn every day
*gets scared and throws one of my cool rocks at your fourhead*
ow what the hell
love cosmic horror because like. ‘you have knowledge inside you that you cannot bear to face, because you know if you truly comprehend it, you will no longer be the person you once were. you will not be able to go back. the new world you will see will be beautiful, but few else will see it that way’ is just like. yeah bro im trans too
i love it when characters are package deals, i love duos i love trios i love quartets, i love groups and squads, i love it when you can’t find one without the other(s), i love it when they’re glued at the hip, i love it no matter the context of these dynamics, i lov
