He was going to kiss her, Belle was sure of it as her heart started to beat faster and faster as she looked in to his eyes; donât think just do it! Just as she thinks itâs about to happen the loud clang of the door bell woke her up, she almost cried out a loud no but managed to hold it back.Â
As he moved away she almost jumped him, it would be so easy just jump down and kiss him, whoever it was could just wait. But she knew he would not want her to, he obviously didnât feel the same way, she had pretty much invited him to take her on the counter but he didnât so for now maybe she should back off.
"You go get it" she said touching his arm softly, god she was already breaking the whole backing off thing;"Iâll clean up"Â
Right, the mess. In the middle of everything, he had completely forgot about it. But there were still small shards in the carpet (although, the cup itself was nearly intact), and the water was still there as well. The soft touch on his arm made him feel like something had changed. He was not sure what, and he was not sure if it was positive or negative, but there was something in the air. It was good that he hadn't kissed her, though. That would have had too many consequences.
"Good idea," was the second dumbest thing he said that day, and mentally rolled his eyes at himself like a teenager would of his embarrassing father.
He hurried to the shop, where Dr. Whale was waiting. Their polite (but not friendly) conversation unveiled that Whale was looking for something a patient had in his possession once, and could become vital in the discovery of this apparently rare disease. It all sounded like it came straight out of House MD (which Gold didn't watch. Obviously).
After some minutes of discussing forth and back, Whale walked out of the shop, one item richer. I've lost my touch, Gold thought to himself, and leaned against the counter with a sigh. That wasn't entirely true, though, was it? His mind was simply too occupied with thoughts of his young employee in the other room.
"P-please I-Iâm sorry" she said trying once again to move away from him but his grip was to strong. She wished she could use the voice, she knew her voice could be just as powerful as her eyes if she could get it right. "Donât kill me" she said but it didnât work, she was to afraid to make her voice ring like it should. âDonât kill me!â it was better but not near powerful enough, she tried again to pull away from him but she only ended up hurting herself as she pulled harder. "PleaseâŠj-just let me goâŠ"Â
"Kill you?" he growled back, now not letting go out of fear that she would run away. Then again, how far could she get, blinded like she was? The castle was protected with magic, as well. As long as Rumplestiltskin was against it, the doors wouldn't budge. "Why would I kill my own property?" he tutted right into her ear. "I'm not that stupid, dearie, don't insult me."
Finally he let go of her, but not without pushing a little as he did. The fury inside of him tried to convince him that he should really do it, kill her, but it would not gain him anything. If he let her live, and perhaps used her power to his advantage... His thoughts wandered to the countless possibilities. Oh yes, keeping her alive as his very own weapon could make him very powerful. His very own Medusa, he thought with glee, and his anger was for a moment forgotten.
Then he looked back at her (his eyes had moved towards the ceiling; towards the sky, where his rightful place as a God was), and his fury reemerged. "You are going to work for me," his hands automatically gestured between them, even though she could not see, "and if you're lucky and behave like a good girl," he nearly sang the two words, "you will survive at the end of the day." For some, the threat might not be enough, so he added, "And so will your family and friends."
ooc: So, earlier, I disappeared for a while to take a break from replies and to make a small video. Now, it's done, and I figured, why not share it with you guys? It's based on this thread.

The second he touched her skin she is happy he is not looking up at her, she blushed so badly that her whole face turned pink. She watched him inspect her leg, she almost said that she was fine and just pull him close and kiss him, but she was frozen in place.Â
As he presses down Belle bites her lip, afraid she is going to moan from the gentle but firm touch, she had imagined him touching her so many times it almost felt like she was in one of her fantasies.
"N-no, itâs alright" she said softly, letting her hand fall on his as her other find his hair, it was softer then she had thought and she could not help but to move her fingers through it. "I think I will survive"Â
Her stutter caught him off-guard, and he almost removed his hand completely, as if he had (ironically) burnt himself on her, but he didn't have the time to, before her hand was on his. That only confused him more, as did the hand that was suddenly in his hair, running its fingers through it like a brush. Determined to figure out what was going on, Gold looked up, very obviously with a question in his eyes. What are you doing?
With the way she touched him, he was tempted to give into the idea that she might want him, like he wanted her. It became quite tempting to pull her down to kiss her. (Despite the fact that she was sitting on top of a counter, there was not a big difference in height between the two, only around ten centimeters).
However, before he had a chance to weigh pros against cons, the sharp sound of a bell reached his ears. They had customers. Saved by the bell, how cliché, he thought to himself, but was glad. After all, Isabelle's actions could be purely friendly. Hell, she nearly petted him like a dog or a cat.
"We have customers," he echoed his thoughts, sounding only mildly idiotic. "Come on." Slipping his hand away from hers, so that it could take the cane from his left, he stepped away from her, but offered his arm.
"Please stop!" she cried out, once again she waited for him to kill her as his hands dug in to her skin, she was so scared. "M-my father planed it, I-I just wanted to save my people, I-I never thought that I would see something like that" she said trying to move away from him but his grip was to strong.Â
"'Something like that'?" he spat right back into her face, and was almost disappointed that she couldn't see the rage and hate in his eyes. He was sure that the sight would make her even more terrified than she already was - and he would love to see that. The bitch deserved it. "You shouldn't have seen anything. Who do you think you are!?" He shook her violently, but kept a tight enough grip around her arm so that she wouldn't fall. "I don't care why you did it! You did it, and now," he chuckled, but the laughter was hollow; there was no happiness in it. He sounded insane. "Now, you will pay."
She jumped up and pulled up the skirt a bit, reviling her thigh where the water had burnt her, it was a bit red but nothing to bad. She watched him limp towards her, her body tensing up, would he touch her? Oh she hoped that he would, maybe even let his fingers move up along her thigh to inspect it, maybe she could even ask him to kiss the pain away.Â
Avoiding her eyes, Gold looked directly at her thigh. He wanted to approach this very matter-of-factly, nothing that would overstep boundaries. Even though she had asked him for help, and that she seemed to always have a smile reserved for him, Gold was sure that she thought of him as an employer and nothing more. Perhaps a friend, but that was stretching it. Certainly not as a possible romantic interest, and hopefully not as a father figure. The latter might destroy him completely.
Her skin looked pale and smooth, only a small, pink area standing out. It didn't look horrible, but perhaps it hurt worse than it looked, since Isabelle had been quick to wonder if she had been burnt. His cane changed hands, leaving his right hand free. Carefully, he touched the flushed skin, his fingers almost hovering over her thigh rather than running along it. She was warm, surprisingly so, but not unnatural, he supposed. Adding pressure to his touch, he asked, "Does it hurt?" He sounded like a doctor. Although, it was good that he wasn't hers. That would lead to a complicated relationship between the two. Being her employer was already difficult enough.
"Who did you kill?â [ what better way to start interacting than angst, amirite? ]

Belle stared at him and then down at her hands, they were shaking and covered in blood. She shook her head looking back up at him;âI-I donât knowâŠâ
"I canât" she said, slowly relaxing as he kissed her head;"Rumple I canât, I have to call it in, we will just say the truth, maybe I wont to to prison only the mental hospital again" she said moving away from him again. "Please, call Swan"Â
He didn't try to hold onto her, even though he wanted to. There was no way she was going back into that place. Did she not understand that scenario properly? "Belle, if you go to the mental hospital, you might never come out. They have to declare you sane, and that rarely happens until a long time has passed." He reached out to touch her cheek. "Let me talk to Regina. I'm sure we can figure something out, so that you won't have to be punished for this. You don't deserve it."
His plan was falling perfectly into place. Regina - or The Evil Queen, as the people so fittingly had dubbed her - would soon cast his spell. Even though he was destined to spend the last days of preparing in a cell (which one, he was not sure, but there was most definitely one in his future), Rumplestiltskin was ready to do a dance of victory.
Instead of doing so, however, he calmly sat down by his spinning wheel, and started spinning, as he had neglected to do for a while. Once, he had told his servant that he spun to forget. It had been a lie. For, sitting there at the spinning wheel, his mind opened up to old memories - and new ones from a distant future. He remembered the face of his beautiful boy the first time they met, and he remembered the last time they parted. From the first I will never abandon you to the last I'm sorry, he remembered it all. And he remembered the look in his wife's eyes when he joyously announced that he was going to war to prove his worth, and he remembered the turn of her lips when she yelled at being exactly like his father. And then memories of said man, blurry because of old age, danced through his mind, teasing and mocking him, showing him their similarities again and again. I'm nothing like my father. And then his servant, for she was so much more than that, joined the mocking choir. Her face pale, her lips blue and blood running from her head and scrapes on her arms. Dead, because of him.
These were all horrible pictures, yet his face was carefully blank. Rumplestiltskin had mastered the act of pretending - pretending that he was without weaknesses; pretending that he was content with whom he had become, when he was secretly disgusted with himself.
The creak of the door was a welcome sound, as were the footsteps that followed. They pulled him away from his thoughts and embraced him like a concerned mother. They kept him safe - they kept him sane.
"What do you want, dearie?" he asked. The spinning came to a halt. "Looking to make a deal, perhaps?"
In a Land Without Magic || AU
They walked deep into the forest, Bonnie holding tight to the magic bean in her hand. She thought back to earlier that night when the Reul Ghorm had given it to her as their escape.
âYou must use it wisely. Follow wherever it leads you. Â It will save you both.â
She would use it. Leave everything behind, especially magic, to get her father back. The bean would take them to a land without magic. A place where they could be together.Â
As he promised.
Rumplestiltskin was afraid. It was the best way to put it, even though it only suggested that he was like his father, a coward. He had thought that would change, after getting his power. Nothing in the world would make him afraid, because who could touch him? Who dared?
Now, however, he was all but shaking in his boots at the mere prospect of losing his power. Perhaps, it was understandable - normal, even - but Rumplestiltskin didn't want to be like everybody else. He wanted to be better.
"Where are we going, girl? What kind of world is this weâre going to? What kind of world is without magic?" he asked, all of his questions tumbling out of his mouth much faster than they were intended to. Bonnie was not supposed to realize how terrified he was.

"I told you Gold, if youâre looking the rent, youâll âave to talk to Bill." The girl tried to act calm as she scrubbed down the bar from the night before, but secretly she was upset with Bill for not dealing with this already. It was like she was the only one who even tried to give a damn.
"Well, apparently Bill doesn't care about if you live under a roof or on the streets," he shot back, and leaned against his cane. He hadn't slept very well that night, so this complication didn't exactly sit very well with him. If he could decide, he would spend the entire day in the back room of his shop, tinkering with something.

Planting another kiss on the top of her head, he insisted, "You are not being locked away."Â Again, he added to himself. She had spent too many years behind bars already. "Turning yourself in is maybe the good thing to do, but not necessarily the right."
As she stood there his eyes seem to flicker, to her breast? A lightning of happiness moved through her, she had hoped he would notice her new bra, Ruby had told her that her breast would look bigger in it and that would surly catch any mans attention. Though Belle had to be realistic, he probably saw it by accident, but stillÂ
When he looked away and snapped at her to clean up she pouted at bit and got up noticing the hot water on her skirt, it didnât hurt do she had to be ok, but maybe she could play this?
"Mr. Gold, I think I might have burned myself" she said gesturing towards the water;"could you take a look?"Â
He should snap that he wasnât a doctor, and if she had burnt herself, there wasnât much he could do anyway. But even though he was sure that she really didnât want him to lay a hand on her in any way, he could not help but nod shortly and order, âSit on the counter.â The counter he was referring to was not the one in the shop, but the one that was connected to the small stove. Even though it was where the boiler had been standing, all of the hot water was on the floor (and on Isabelle), not on the kitchen counter itself.
Cane in hand, he walked carefully towards her. His leg still hurt from rushing into the back room, so his weight was almost completely on the cane, at times. It was also why he hadn't simply bowed down and inspected her leg; his own would not be able to carry the weight, and he would tumble to the ground, which wouldn't be a very charming sight.
