LALONDE: You were asked at the beginning of this series, what would it mean to you to watch Marie-Philip Poulin hoist the trophy, and you said, "Oof! I've got goosebumps just thinking about it." She immediately passes it over to you. What did that moment mean to the two of you, when you think of your history?

DESBIENS: Like I said, she put the gold medal around my neck back in 2022, she got to give me the goal, the Walter Cup this year, but... She really brings the best out of me, and I think when you get to play with a player like her, when you get to train with her, all year long, summers as well, you just have to get better. You just have to work more. You just have to be more. And I think, like, that's why she's MVP, it's because she brings the best out of everybody around her, you wanna be better for her. You wanna push her, you wanna do anything you can, because you know she's gonna do anything for you.
