i legit had a dream (nightmare?) last night that me, my lil sis and my grandma were stuck in some incredibly liminal-looking fancy town surrounded by woods and we had tasks to do, like jump out the window of the mansion we were in and the mansion was also in a small forest and escape before dad comes (don’t ask idk) and I jumped first and managed to run away (only me, idk what the other 2 did) to what’s esentially the equivalent of the Scientology building of my dream, that’s how it looked, and I had fun for a while there with some fuckass entity and then they kicked me out in the most liminal, haunted looking forest known to man, and I can’t remember anything after that

did anyone else get tired of japeth murdering people around halfway through tcy... unfortunately character death loses its impact to me once you start introducing new characters just to kill them off.

i understand why soman wouldn't want to kill his protagonists or fan favorites like the witches, but i ended up just nodding along like, yep, another random character got scims through the neck, normal day for these books
