Persephone’s smile unfurled slowly — indulgent, dangerous, and far too knowing. “Ridley, ,” she drawled, voice smooth as honeyed venom, “if your goal was to make an entrance, consider it achieved. Half the room forgot how to breathe when you walked in.” She let her gaze drift over Ridley’s dramatic silhouette, then added with a teasing lilt, “It’s giving sea witch royalty — power, allure, and just the right amount of menace. I approve.”
She accepted the offered drink, holding it delicately by the stem, and studied the liquid like she was divining secrets from it. “Divine, you said? Fitting.” Her tone curled into a purr. “But I rarely share drinks, my dear. I prefer toasting to something — or someone — worth remembering.” Her smirk deepened, the faintest flash of amusement glinting behind her lashes. “And you do make a compelling case i must say.
At the mention of plans, Persephone tilted her head, an elegant shoulder rising in mock thought. She lifted her glass in a graceful salute, eyes glittering with challenge. “Stay close, Ridley. I have a feeling the night’s just getting delicious.”
smirking ridley felt even more fabulous than she originally had. knowing that her friend persephone had believed she'd succeeded made a l l the difference. a costume that could turn heads like that was incredible. "that's the response i wanted. i knew i could count on you, seph." flipping her hair, ridley felt p o w e r f u l l and now, all she needed was everyone else to see that. but the night was fresh and there was so much to do, and so many people to manipulate. although, spending time with her friend required more immediate attention.
"toasting, huh? to someone worth remembering? got someone in mind there, sweets?" off the top of her head, she couldn't think of who it could be, but now, color her curious. for a moment, she watched her friend, eyes stuck on her, trying to decipher what might be revolving around in that gorgeous head of hers. "delicious? you're speaking my language. lead the way, and together, we'll make this night one to remember!" ridley held her glass up to toast, whether or not that was the intention and took a large swig of the drink. "now, tell me, what gossip do we have for this evening? i'm itching for something interesting."
