EPM 2026 Ask Game Answers
Since I didn't get any asks this year for the Ask Game (and I didn't feel like harassing my followers for them), I've decided to just answer them all in one fell swoop!
If you want me to expand on any of these points or have other questions for me, drop it in the ask box or leave a comment. And if you want to do this two, here's the ASK GAME.
Also, some minor spoilers for Freedom Under the Etherian Skies.
Hordak has many pet names for Entrapta, which, once he gets into a relationship with her, are used more often than her own name when he talks to her. There are the more normal ones, such as darling, dearest, beloved, etc. (He would never call her honey, babe, baby, babygirl, etc., because they don't fit naturally into his vocabulary, and don't fit the classy personality he has). Then, of course, we have the ones more tailored to Entrapta: princess, starlight, and (my personal favorite) super-nova. All of these pet names are often used with a “my” in front of them, especially when he's feeling especially in love. Entrapta, on the other hand, doesn't usually do pet names; however, she will use the names handsome, gorgeous, and beautiful when the fancy strikes her. She would probably also call him honey. (I also have no clue what a creative nickname for Hordak would be, except for my Lord, but that's reserved for very specific times during very specific timelines).
There are a few routes you could take with a concept like this. Firstly, there's the classic "Hordak realizes he wants Entrapta's companionship more than Prime's love and decides to stay on Etheria and not complete the portal," which is a great concept, I love it so much, but it's been done 100 times over in this fandom already. There could be a situation where, after the reunion in season five, they get together, and Hordak becomes a mole for the Alliance. Or, they could meet on Prime's ship, and he travels with them like Wrong Hordak did during that season. There's also the classic arranged marriage trope, but that's bordering on au territory.
I headcanon Hordak as being 129 at the beginning of the series and 132 at the end (Entrapta's 28 at the start of the show and 31 at the end).
Whenever they're working together, it's basically a date; however, Hordak still tries to do fun stuff with Entrapta outside the lab. It starts as something Hordak does because that's what he was told to do when in a relationship with someone. Then the couple realizes how fun dates could be, and the two continue to plan dates after that. Then, when they go long-distance for a few months/years, they try to pre-plan dates months in advance, or they just seize whatever opportunity they can on short notice.
Hordak is definitely protective of Entrapta, especially after the portal explosion. Those few days post-explosion definitely had Hordak keeping at least one eye on her at all times (but part of that is because he recently realized he was in love with her). Then, when the two get into a relationship, Hordak would be constantly fighting himself to not be overprotective. He knows that Entrapta is a grown woman who is the most capable person on Etheria, BUT she is also a chaotic force so focused on the goals that she sometimes doesn’t register that she’s in danger. It’s definitely a balancing act. However, Hordak is definitely more overprotective when it comes to social situations, especially involving the princesses. Then, for Entrapta, she’s definitely concerned about Hordak’s condition, especially health-wise. Like Hordak, Entrapta is terrified of him getting hurt or sick. Socially, she’s not too concerned, but she is also afraid of people being overly cruel to him.
Entrapta is 100% an "acts of service" girlie with some "gift-giving" thrown in for good measure; meanwhile, Hordak is a "words of affirmation" guy and "acts of service". Then, as their relationship develops, they begin to love “physical touch”, and it becomes the easiest way they show affection.
When they first get together, neither of them is big on PDA, but that's only because they're keeping their relationship a secret. However, once it's out, they'll start to slowly introduce PDA into their everyday life. It also depends on the environment and the people that they're with. When they're with their friends, Entrapta is exclusively sitting on Hordak's lap, along with other forms of PDA; however, when they are making a more official appearance, they usually only hold hands, namely under the table, where no one can see.
The biggest way they both wordlessly express their love is by taking care of one another. They’re both the type of people to forget to eat or sleep, so they rely on each other to remember. Hordak also shows his love by endlessly listening and understanding Entrapta’s ramblings; meanwhile, Entrapta provides a safe space for Hordak to express his vulnerability, both physically and emotionally.
Hordak would obviously have his anger issues and self-loathing to work through; however, I think a bigger issue would be the fact that Hordak wouldn’t communicate his problems, just so he doesn't have to burden Entrapta. This would result in him acting like everything was fine until he explodes. I also feel like Entrapta would struggle with emotional intimacy, which results in Hordak sometimes thinking their relationship is just another one of her experiments.
Both Hordak and Entrapta like to read/listen to audiobooks, mostly as a form of escapism. Hordak would also engage in his brothers' hobbies (Jasper likes anything athletic, specifically cage fighting, and Zion likes to draw). The two also like to chart stars together and name different constellations. I also think the two would, completely separate from one another, learn how fulfilling helping others would be.
Imp is Hordak's creation, who lives outside the laws of nature and labels.
Emily is Entrapta's friend.
She would definitely remain friends with Scorpia, and she would also be friends with the best friends squad. She would be friendly with Netossa, Spinnerella, Frosta, etc.; meanwhile, she would only be corgial toward Mermista and Perfuma.
Hordak would definitely be friends with Sea Hawk, and I’d like to think that Glimmer will eventually become Hordak’s annoying little sister as the years go on. He would be friendly toward Adora, Scorpia, Netossa, Frosta, Spinerella, etc. He doesn’t like Bow, Mermista, and Perfuma, but he is cordial (although it takes a great deal of effort on his part).
Not me, basically putting the same question twice.
I think that Hordak has the potential to be Neurodivergent, specifically autistic. We don't see a lot of his day-to-day life, so it's hard to tell when it comes to many of the telltale signs, specifically sensory issues and stuff like that. However, if he does have something, it would definitely be mild and mostly affect his emotional regulation and his ability to recognize emotions. I once saw a writer describe him as having alexithymia, but I don’t know enough about the condition to give a definitive opinion.
I think the best way to write Entrapta is to be like her characterization earlier in the series. However, I do like to add that she knows more about how people feel about her than she lets on. I believe she does know that people don’t like her, but she doesn’t know how to fix it, because “fixing it” would require fundamentally changing herself. In the meantime, she’s heavily masking. I even like to headcanon that she was masking during the entirety of season five, and that she secretly was scheming to get Hordak back without the Alliance knowing that’s why she was sticking around. For Hordak, I find it’s best to portray him as reserved, but not outwardly antagonistic. Hordak is no saint, but he also isn’t totally evil. One needs to find a balance. I also like it when he’s portrayed more masculinely than Fanon generally portrays him, but I only say that because of my own personal preferences. For their relationship, Entraptdak represents a mutual safe space for the two. They don’t need to fear judgment when they are with each other, and I think it’s beautiful.
Istg, season five pisses me off so much, because for most of the season, it reduces Entrapta to a comedic side character. And because of that, we miss out on so many potentially compelling moments with her. I also hate it when authors use Entrapta’s social cluelessness and just straight up make her rude. Like, I have read many fics where Entrapta is just openly rude and pushing Hordak’s boundaries. And that’s another thing, I hate it when Hordak is literally telling her, “No, I don’t want to do that,” and Entrapta is just counting on “because she knows he secretly wants it.” Even if Hordak wants physical affection, that doesn’t mean his boundaries need to be violated. And for Hordak, I have it when the narrative decided to make him stupid, or portray him as being a petulant man-child. While he does tend to overreact to certain situations, that doesn’t mean that’s all he does. I also feel like portraying Hordak as dumb usually only serves to prop Entrapta up, even though it would be more realistic if both had things that they were better at than the other, balancing their relationship.
Eye color is based on personality, and every clone has a unique handprint because of the whole thing with using their palms to interact with the devices on Prime’s ship. Also, Hordak’s hair is naturally blue because of his “defect”.
To preface this, I headcanon that Entrapta grew up with neglectful parents who died when she was young. Because of this and Hordak's situation, I believe they would be the parents who are HYPER involved in their child’s lives. One could call it smothering, but they just like to call it love. And yes, Entapta is the fun parent; meanwhile, Hordak is the disciplinarian who uses his years of community service as a basis for his punishments (he would never lay a hand on any of his children; he would rather die. He’s just afraid of them going down the wrong path like he did without a kind, but firm hand.).
“What have you done to me?”
Hordak has multiple sets of armor, some for hard labor, some for sleep, some for formal occasions, and some for everyday wear. Some of them were just made by Hordak or Entrapta; however, there are a few that they made together. Meanwhile, he would once again dress in dark colors. He would love a sharp silhouette with an overall masculine look with some feminine flair. He also wears a pair of navy overalls that Entrapta gifted him when they started living together. He also has his signature crimson eyes back, as well as the cobalt hair. And if it wasn’t already obvious, he does still have his disability; however, the muscles in his chest and back have fully recovered since he had more consistent care under Prime, which he improved on once he was free.
Entrapta is simple: Bisexual with a male preference. She is also very attracted to people who are intelligent, since she can actually have a stimulating conversation with them. She also might be a little bit on the aromantic spectrum due to he struggles with emotional intimacy. Hordak gets a little more complicated. Before meeting Entrapta, if he had to label himself, he would say aroace. However, he will discover in the future that he is demisexual. It just takes a lot of getting to know a person before they can become attracted to them. I also believe he is omni with a HEAVY female preference. And I only say this because, if Entrapta suddenly turned into another gender, Hordak would remain in a relationship with her.
Before I begin, I’d like to say that any jealousy is not born out of the fear of their partner cheating. The “jealousy” comes from the fear that they will find someone better and leave them. But regardless, Hordak and Entrapta will glare daggers at the perceived threat and try to get their partner away from the other person as fast as they can. Now, despite the fact that their actions are the same, the mentality is different. When Entrapta sees someone is odiously flirting with her boyfriend, she thinks, “Wait, you can’t do that! That’s my boyfriend! Get away from him!” When Hordak sees someone whom he perceives as less than Entrapta or even himself, he gets offended. Like: “How dare you bother her with your pathetic prattle.” Meanwhile, if he sees someone who he perceives as better than him, someone who would, in theory, almost reach being worthy of Entrapta, he thinks, “Oh, god, they’ll make Entrapta realize she deserves better.” As you can see, Hordak is the type of person who only sees his flaws, so he doesn’t know why people actually want to be around him other than pity.
I believe that while his condition is not reversed, Hordak’s health is still better. I firmly believe that once he starts actively taking care of himself, he will begin to feel better, and that will be reflected in his appearance. For example, once he began to get consistent nutrients while under Prime, the muscles in his chest and back came back.
When I was a kid, I couldn’t stand second-hand embarrassment from any media. Therefore, I would never watch romantic scenes in movies and TV shows because they always involve the two leads embarrassing themselves, which was “funny”. And I distinctly remember that I initially skipped all the scenes between Entrapta and Hordak during that one episode in season three, because even if I didn’t fully acknowledge it, the 12-year-old me knew they were being romantic. Thankfully, shortly after I finished the series, I actually started to like their ship and romantic scenes in general.
Hordak. It’s always Hordak. I love Entrapta, but my brain just loves to obsess over Hordak and give him a million story lines. Like, before I came up with the plot about her realizing she wants to take a more active role as princess of Dryl, I legit struggled to give her something to do. And I hate it because I didn’t want the entirety of her character to just be “Hordak’s girlfriend.” Also, I think the reason I’m so obsessed with Hordak is that I think he’s hot. I’m a simple girl.
Now, for those who have read my fic FUTES and seen all the spoilers I’ve posted on my account, you’ll know that Hordak will be stuck on Etheria doing community service. And thankfully, because of the plot line I’ve given Entrapta, she too decides to stay on Etheria because she wants to take her role as Princess of Dryl more seriously. However, once a few years have passed and the Alliance trusts the two more, they’ll let them take vacations in space. The two would also be invited on missions since the BFS needs a mechanic on board, or Hordak/Entrapta got invited on a trip.
Hordak loves Entrapta’s spark and general zest for life. She always manages to lift his spirits just by smiling at him. He also loves everything about her physically, especially her eyes. Entrapta loves how much Hordak understands her and how reliable he is. She also adores the softer sides of his personality, only she gets to see (she also loves the sharper parts of his personality, dw). She also loves his angular features and his voice.
I honestly don’t know what to put here, so I have some silly headcanons: Hordak has an obsession with spaceships akin to how autistic little boys love trains, dinosaurs, cars, etc (my little brother is an autistic boy, so I’m allowed to say this). He has vast knowledge of spaceships from different planets, and this is because, in his early years of life, he got his hands on a bunch of books and manuals on spaceships. Meanwhile, Entrapta has a large collection of interspecies romance novels that she read when she was a teenager, affecting the way she perceives romance and attraction. Hordak will find these years later and make fun of her for it because the books are terribly written.
