Names
I wish my name was Charlie. Ā Iām not really sure why. Ā I would ask to change my name, but I also really like my birth name, and itās something special because my parents gave it to me. Ā I guess I just wish someone else had it. Ā I wonder why I like the name Charlie so much. Ā Maybe itās because itās unisex, leaning towards masculine, like me. Ā Maybe just because itās different. Ā Every time someone calls my name, I always imagine what it would be like if they called me Charlie instead. Ā It just makes me happy. Ā Charlie *my last name that has been censored for obvious reasons* . Ā It looks so nice, doesnāt it? Ā It sounds nice too. Ā Iām proud of the name I have now, so thatās not the problem. Ā It just doesnāt seem to fit me. Ā My birth name seems like a name that would be given to someone whoās always in charge. Ā Poised, graceful, powerful, respected, reserved, almost lethal. Ā That just⦠Doesnāt fit me. Ā Iām terrible at keeping my poise, I canāt stand upright for more that about 10 seconds, Iām seen as just a little kid who is ādevelopingā in all senses of the word, Iām the most extra and loud and talkative and flamboyant person you will ever meet. Ā Because of that, no one takes me seriously. Ā But, I think Iām okay with that. Ā Itās who I am, and itās not going to change. Ā The name Charlie just sounds like freedom to me. Ā Like itās my name because I chose it. Ā If people donāt respect me or take me seriously, fine. Ā Itās gonna bite them in the ass later though. Ā I will earn respect through my own methods. Ā I will work hard to achieve what I want. Ā Freedom. Ā What a nice thought. Ā I like the name Charlie because it sounds like freedom to me. Ā I chose it, and I will make it mine. Ā People will remember my name. Ā What for? Ā Iām not sure yet, but at the end of my life, I will look back and say, āSee? Ā I told you I would do it. Ā Maybe you didnāt believe me then, but you sure as hell better believe me now.ā

Dysphoria Problems
So for those of you who donāt know, dysphoria is basically something that happens to most people who donāt identify as what their sex is. Ā Itās when your body doesnāt match how youāre feeling and you feel gross and fake (at least for me, itās different for everyone). Ā For example, a trans guy might experience dysphoria because he has a visible bump underneath his shirt, or if heās forced to wear clothes that donāt match what heās feeling because of one reason or another. Ā Now that we have that out of the way, letās proceed to the rant.
Dysphoria can come in many forms. Ā There are also ways to cope with it, but sometimes itās just not enough. Ā Dysphoria is always hard, but itās kinda weird for me. Ā Since my gender is fluid my dysphoria also changes if that makes any sense. Ā When Iām a guy I feel too feminine, but when Iām a girl I feel too masculine. Ā Then there are some days where Iām in the middle, and itās almost like I can feel people trying to guess my gender. Ā Iām not trying to say dysphoria is worse for gender fluid people, I guess Iām just trying to say that itās different. Ā
I personally also get dysphoria from the way I act. Ā Some of my personality traits change when my gender does. Ā I mean, Iām still me, just some things are a little different. Ā Like, when Iām a guy Iām more aggressive and emotionally stoic, and when Iām a girl Iām much more flirty and submissive. Ā So when itās a guy day and I do something in a girly way, it always feels like someone stabbed me in the gut. Ā Just simple things like the way I sit, or how I talk, and even just how excited I get over something can make my anxiety shoot up like a rocket. Ā
The most widely know form of dysphoria is physical dysphoria. Ā There are ways to cope with this, but depending on the situation it can be very difficult to use those methods. Ā Itās especially hard if youāre in the closet or an unsupportive area. Ā Ways to cope with physical dysphoria can be things like wearing a binder, or putting on a dress, or doing your hair in a moreĀ āgirlyā hairstyle. Ā Even though it seems the most trivial, itās one that is the hardest for me. Ā Since Iām not out, itās next to impossible to wear the clothes that I really want. Ā First impressions are also incredibly important. Ā If I present as a girl when I first meet someone, theyāll automatically assume Iām always a girl, and vice versa. Ā For this reason I try to dress as neutrally as possible, but because there are people who knew me when I thought I was cis, they introduce me to new people as though I were cis, not giving me the chance to even try to keep my gender identity on the low down.
Alright this probably has terrible grammar, spelling, and makes no coherent sense, but this has been a really big problem for me lately so I needed to get it off my chest. Ā

Little Introduction

I should probably clear up the basics first. Iām just a smol little closeted genderfluid child trying to find my way in the big world. Ā I identify as bisexual, although I guess technically Iām pansexual with a preference towards boys. Ā
