what even was the point of this show? like i’m genuinely curious. what was the point of jon’s parentage reveal. what was the point of him being resurrected if he didn’t kill the night king. what was the point of establishing a prophecy foretelling cersei would die by her brother’s hand when that didn’t happen. what was the point of setting daenerys up as a just ruler who wanted to make the world better. what was the point of jaime’s entire character arc. what was the point.

Besides that point on Dany (who always said “the second my dragons are grown it’s over for you bitches”) I agree on all of these. But Dany was never going to be a just ruler. Viserys was not the only one damaged beyond repair by what Baratheons and Lannisters have done to their family. But with her it was not pure madness as with him. It is a stubborn belief of a 13 year old who walked out of a funeral pyre with hatched dragons; who saw a prophecy or reaching the Iron Throne; belief that all actions she took to reach that moment would be fully justified because of it. Because her claim to the Throne are stronger than all else’s. Which is why Jon’s reveal shook her so - she has seen other people claim the Throne politically, but never on a basis that she has - birthrights AND magic that was thought to have left this world.
