Elriels don't hate the Valkyries 🙄 At worst we just don't care about them because we obviously prefer Elain and her friends.

What we DO hate is the bastardization of their characters to support nonsense and misogyny, the constant erasure of Emerie, and the tunnel vision on Gwyn when it's supposed to be about Nesta and her friends + their camaraderie, strength, and perseverance.

As someone who is pretty indifferent to acosf and the valkyries (they are fine but not my faves) I am so very tired of having a better understanding of these characters than their so called 'fans'.

so now gwyn is the general of the valkyries bc she created them and not nesta. she’s also the leader of the valkyries bc she taught cassian valkyrie fighting techniques??? (lmao. lmfao even.) oh she’s also the leader bc apparently she’s the only female carynthian that matters even tho she rejected the title and she only became one because emerie carried her up the mountain. emerie deserves the first female carynthian title and nesta is the leader of the valkyries but according to the post i just saw neither of those things are true apparently.

why are her fans deadset on taking things from every other female character and giving it to her? why are they set on making her completely unlikable? i don’t even like canon gwyn at this point because fanon gwyn has been twisted so horribly into something she’s not that i just wish her character never existed in the first place.

One of my favorite subtle-yet-powerful scenes that shows the true depth to Azriel’s yearning. To be unable to keep himself from following the sound of her laugh; wanting to see what caused it, quietly wishing it was him, content just to see her happy. Their slow burn is just *chefs kiss*
