both characters in the books and readers of it have this view of the different places in the roots of chaos world that i find to be really black and white and also not accurate

characters like ead, tunuva and esbar (at least in the beginning and sometimes even at the end) as well as some readers view virtudom as bad and the rest of the world as good, and the priory as the best place to live in, but it's more complex than that

the problem of being forced to marry and have children that we see with both sabran ix and glorian can also be seen with dumai, who is not from virtudom but rather from seiiki. everything that the berethnets are forced to go through also happens to every royal in the world, no matter what country they're from. to quote glorian in chapter 95: "She saw the cruel truth of it now. The relentless, violent circle of monarchy."

yes, virtudom is bad, but it's not the only place that has these issues

and the priory is far from perfect. in tpotot they kidnap and drug loth, refusing to ever have him leave just because he found out about them

and in adofn siyu's treatment by the priory is horrendous, and she never received so much as an apology for all that she was forced to endure as a teenager. i've made several posts about that already, which you can find in my siyu tag, and i will forever be angry about how she was treated

(also, sidenote, the priory prides itself in knowing the truth about galian while virtudom believes a lie but even they don't know the whole truth about him, cleolind, neporo and kalyba)

the priory needs some serious reform, just like virtudom and the rest of the world does

blue lock is the worst and best piece of media in the whole world. it’s intrinsically gay. everyone probably has second-hand high from the amount of axe body spray in the building. human experimentation is canon. no one’s parents read the waiver. professional athletes are pitting high schoolers against each other for their own entertainment. they are getting paid to do that. there is poignant symbolism regarding class struggle and freedom. a main character yells right in the womb as he scores. friendship and teamwork is banned. a real life, adult man has a wall of cameras to watch teenage drama unfold. the guys with crippling mental health conditions run the place like wardens. they aren’t allowed to use their phones. they are live streamed for profit. there are at least two instances of canon-typical pet play. it’s awesome, no one is doing it like them, and no one ever will.

Hey! Hi! Hiya! I read the Merlin one-shot you put out earlier, and now I'm really missing your writing, do you have a fic, or series, of yours you'd reccomened reading?

This is gonna be a long one and I happened to log into tumblr to check messages then saw your ask and drowned in a puddle and so because I wanted to update anyway, I decided to answer your ask because anything related to my writing brings me endless joy and happiness and tears.

Yes! I presume you're talking about Infiltrating Great Minds? Yes! As you can see, it's part of a Merlin+character crackfic series so if you want Merlin crack, you can have all of it in that series. I'm already halfway through a Gwaine&Merlin and finished completely outlining Leon&Merlin and Daegal&Merlin fics.

If you're looking for the angst/magic reveal sort of thing, I'd say How Do You Feel? and Shackled are good, though neither of them are magic reveals. I'm just realizing this is the first magic reveal I posted 😅

Although! I'm working on a super super super angsty magic reveal oneshot and another 4-chapter magic reveal which connects to a (currently) 45-chapter Golden Age AU fic. They're going to be in a series. Or maybe I'll split the 45 chapter, idk, i only finished outlining it yesterday XD

However, I won't be posting any fics or content until after April 10th bc of Ramadan and I want to focus on myself and my peace of mind and mental health. But, I have a goal to post content every week after April 10th since I already wrote halfway through like three fics and have complete and full outlines for like 10-ish fics, one of which is a multichap. So keep a look out for that!

For now, whatever I've posted is it :)
