Do people not realize how important love languages are? Hear me out here. During my shifts, I'm verbally told that I'm appreciated, that work wouldn't be the same without me, that all my hard work is noticed and that I'm a rockstar. And, I mean, it's nice and all, but it just doesn't give me the boost I need.
Even at home, when my husband encourages me through words, it just doesn't have the effect people want.
But where I thrive? Someone showing me their love and appreciation through acts of service or giving me a little gift like coffee or a hand-drawn sticky note. That shows me infinitely more love that flowery words do.
In short, learn people's love language. It does wonders.
