Hino City is a place for any Shinsengumi fan. Going from the top left you have: Hino City History Museum of the Shinsengumi where you can see a lot of things related to them and even dress up as one and take pictures 😍📷. Then you have the last remaining Honjin (inn for a Daimyo from Edo period) in the Tokyo area. Where you can explore the place where the Shinsengumi gathered and trained under Inoue and Kondo, when they weren't Shinsengumi yet 😊. Then there is a monument and grave of Inoue Genzaburo in Housenji temple and the last of the three graves of Hijikata Toshizō in Sekidenji temple. They are more like his memorials because no one knows where his actual body was buried. The last picture is of Hijikata Toshizō's statue in Takahata Fudo temple 😍. All in all I highly recommend visiting this city if you're in Tokyo area. The best time would be 1st or 3rd Sunday of every month because that's when other museums I wasn't able to visit are open: the Inoue Genzaburo Museum & the Hijikata Toshizō Museum. I'm definitely going back to see them next time I'm in Japan 😍👍🏻❤️.

Goryokaku's Magistrate office in Hakodate. This is where in the Hakuouki otome game in Hijikata's route the CG on the right happens 😍❤️. The building is newly & very accurately renovated according to old documents, pictures and plans.

Goryokaku fort was the last stand for the Shinsengumi and the last place where Hijikata lived before his death in battle. It's also the place where Hijikata's route in Hakuouki otome game and the Hakuouki anime final happen. 😍 Recommended to visit in early May for Hanami, we were a bit early there.

Hijikata Toshizō's grave in Hakodate, Hokkaido, Japan. It's in Shōmyō-ji temple, short walk up the hill from Hakodate Dock-Mae tram stop. I highly recommend visiting it and paying your respects, for any Shinsengumi or Hijikata fans. ⛩😢

Hi! I usually go to Japan, but I never find as much Hakuouki stuff as seen in your post. Where did you go to get them?

I reblogged a post not so long ago with instructions for otome fans 😊. But in a nutshell look for Animate, K-Books, Rashinban stores. There's a lot of them in Ikebukuro in Tokyo, on so called Otome road, but in Akihabara's Animate there's a lot of stuff too. Also on 2F in Nakano Broadway, next to Nakano Station in Tokyo, there's a lot of stuff. The Kyoto station is a small addition, but if you're already there why not have a look. The Otomate store is in Shinjuku, how to get there is written in the guide I mentioned. In Osaka go to Nipponbashi, next to Namba station and explore. Most of these stores show up on the google map if you type in the name I.e.: Animate...

If you're a Hakuouki fan you might feel nostalgic looking at these pictures. I know I feel that way every time I visit this place. First time I went there, after playing Hakuouki otome game, I felt like I've already been there before. The details were very faithfully recreated by the game developers. This is Nishihonganji temple in Kyoto Japan. It's where the Shinsengumi had their headquarters for a long period of time. Most of the anime and game takes place here. I highly recommend visiting it, if you're ever in Kyoto as it's about 10min by foot from the Kyoto station 😊⛩❤️

The place on the right picture is a memorial of Aburanokoji incident, that took place on 18th November 1867. During which Itō Kashitarō was assassinated by members of the Shinsengumi. When Heisuke Tōdō with other members of Goryo Eji tried to get his body back, they too were attacked and killed by the Shinsengumi. It's hard to tell on which side historical Heisuke fought. But historically he died that day. 😢 The CG on the left is from that historical moment. Even if it was altered for game purposes. The memorial is about 8min walk from Kyoto station.
