What was it that made the Lamb decide that Webber is their kid ?
Their own curiosity. Lamb worried Narinder had somehow regained some of his power and brought a spider back to life, so they decided to keep a closer look just in case.
They grew attached to each other and to the cultists he was pretty much adopted by the leader, even tho Webber seems very independent already.
