Reblogging again because this is the ONLY “fashion through time” video that does it right. All the others glamorize/modernize the eras WAY too much, esp. considering they’re claiming historical accuracy. This is the only one that truly nails it.

It’s his duty to tell the Clave about you founding this cult. They’ll hear the rumor you’re lead-ing it eventually, whether your Lightwood tells them or not. So it’s December 08th over here and I just wanted to wish my favorite warlock and freewheeling bisexual a very happy birthday and thank @cassandraclare for bringing this wonderful man into my life.
When you read a book, there are some characters that make you happy, some that make you laugh out loud, some that frustrate the fuck out of you, some that manage to catch you off-guard every time, some that give you hope and some that inspire you to be better.
It is only rarely that one character manages to take you through all of these feelings. Dear Magnus, thank you for being that character for me. Your kindness, courage, compassion and love inspires me every single day. You remind me that we are all High Warlocks of something.
So, Magnus Lightwood-Bane, many many many happy returns of the day. You deserve all the good things in the world and that includes the unconditional love of one blue-eyed, dorky shadowhunter. I take comfort in the fact that he makes you happy as much as you make me.
