If I was asked to describe what Armin means to Eren, I’d describe him as “the sun in Eren’s life”.

Because before Eren met Armin, he was cold. Distant. Didn’t have any friends. Didn’t want any friends. Didn’t care about anything or anyone. Had no goals. No dreams. Nothing.

But then…

He met the person who changed his life.

Armin was the person who made Eren believe in the outside world.

They made a promise together - That they would one day see the ocean.

That promise…

Made Eren forget about his hatred for titans.

His revenge for his mom’s death.

He put it all aside.

For their dream of seeing the ocean together.

Armin and their dream gave him hope.

Motivation.

Determination.

The spark Eren was missing in his life.

Armin prevented Eren from being consumed by rage.

The rage that very likely would have made Eren lose control of himself and eventually end up causing his own death.

This is where the resemblance comes in.

The sun brightens up the grey sky.

Armin brightened up Eren’s life.

For instance... I really like cute things, so I suppose I see cuteness in almost anything? Like... Levi has some cute traits to me, as well (he's short and grumpy, he cares deeply about their squad and friends, his cleanliness...), even thought he is, like Eren, a really manly character... Well, people will always have different ways of seeing and perceiving what surrounds them, depending on their personal tastes, values and cultural subtext.

Cutness can be in any human being, in their appereance, in their way of behaving, or even in both, and I guess it’s up to people’s sensitivity to notice it. I too see the cuteness in Levi’s character, as well as I can see it in the one of Eren, or even in Erwin just to make another example.

Anyhow, my point was that there are people who tend to see only the side they’re interested into of a specific character, they exaggerate it and erase all the other complex facets of their personality that make that character what they actually are. I mean, Eren has a tender side but it’s not just it: he’s so much more — and exaggerating this aspect of his personality, even modifying his manly appearance to make him more feminine, just to fit him in the role of a cute and pretty bottom in a Yaoi couple, really triggers me a whole lot. And the same goes with any other character of any other fictional story.

This is an issue that I often see in fandoms: people misunderstanding characters cause they’re too focused just on what they like about them. And when I see it happening with my faves it always bothers me, since I cannot but see it as a disservice to the characters themselves, but... What can I do, aside complaining about it with myself and in my spaces? As I said above, people see the world differently, depending on their values and background, and that’s why it would be a silly waste of time to start a fight with someone who has different tastes and/or way of perceiving things from mine, especially if it’s about fictional characters and if these persons are some fujoshis who will accuse you of being a homophobe whatever you’re going to say anyway. Also, I don’t want to be a fandom’s cancer myself, so I just keep minding my own business.

It's okay to dislike a part of the fujoshi community bc I won't lie to you... Even thought I do identify with a fujoshi, I'm the first one to get annoyed by some and think they're cringy, at the better. My point is... If you like BL or shonenai, you are technically a fujo as well. Just... a nice one. That's just the term's definition, as you yourself pointed out. That being said, even thought I'm a fujo, I ship eremin and dislike popular ships like ereri, for instance. We exist too...!

I aknowledge that not every single individual of the fujo community is actually a cringy and horny fan who desperately needs to fetish homoerotical relationships. Hello, everyone! I’m really sorry for my inactivity, and I know I might sound boring to some of you though, I have the same excuse reason: I am really busy because of university and rl stuff. Also, I’ve already started the preparation for six exams I’ll have in less than a month, and saying I’m a bit anxious would actually be minimising.

Moving on. I’m not ignoring your asks, guys: I was actually working on all of them. But as spoilers and 124ch dropped I couldn’t carry on, insomuch disappointed and speechless I was because of the latest events and developments of the plot. Plus, my laptop has gone down for some reason and it’s pretty hard to me writing on my smartphone...

Having said that. Yams is really getting on my nerves lately, and apparently he’s doing everything he can to test the great and endless faith I’ve always had in him and in his narrative. Also, pardon the jargon, this shitty fanbase is not fucking helping. At all.

Seriously, hearing/reading certain things here on Tumlbr is like watching paint dry. And I’m tired. I’ve never been so much tired of this fandom. I’ve reached my limit, and I came up with the conclusion that, in order to preserve my mental wellness and to not insult some idiotic clowns who’re saying nothing but ridiculous bs, I must leave for a while. I don’t want to spread hate, and since I know myself very well, how much impulsive and stubborn I am, this is the healthiest and best thing I can do. Trust me.

Why is Gabi, a 12 y/o who should be pissing herself in fear right now, walking around being a messenger?? How does she magically get to Annie who is supposed to be in Stohess if she is too busy tucking Reiner into bed?? Which, WHY the FUCK is Reiner taking a nap in the middle of the damn apocalypse?? Then there’s the question of how Gabi even knows Annie. And why would she go back and tell Armin and Mikasa about her waking up when she made the decision to continue viewing Paradis as the enemy a few chapters ago??

It all sounds so silly, but I also thought the leaks about Eren making Mikasa cry in chapter 112 were pure wattpad material, so who knows. Isayama loves letting Gabi and Reiner get away with random shit.

I just don’t get why Isayama would waste time on a filler chapter like this. But everyone is saying the leaker is trustable so 🤷🏻‍♀️. Either way, I’m no longer excited, and if the leaks are true, I wish Isayama would stop shoving Gabi down our throats so much. She’s served her purpose already.
