This shot has probably been done by tilting the view to a 90° angle. Patton Oswalt is resting on the floor, surrounded by blunt knives fixed in cement. The only mobile one is the fork he's 'hanging' form. They fixed it after he got in position. It's quite easy to replicate.

A bit of acting, a bit of Photoshop to hide a few imperfections and VOILA !

(You can tell he's on the floor because no part of him actually rests on the fork or knives and his back touches the wall when nothing pushes him so far this way, plus the cheese's angle is a bit off and doesn't give a weight impression. A little mistake for realism, but I get that a realistic hanging effect would have looked too painful for the "funnily avoiding death" shot they where aiming for.)
