Dirt is sacred.
There is nothing wrong with leaving offerings on the naked earth.
When we die we are returned to the ground be it whole or as ash.
From the ground comes all our food, be it directly grown or eaten from to what else we eat.
There is nothing wrong with leaving offerings on leaves or stone, plates or trays but...
There is nothing wrong with laying them to the soil either.
The compost pile is as hallowed a hill as any shrine or shelf.

Y’all I’m being so serious when I say this: go to the library for witchcraft reasons.
You can usually find books on witchcraft, yes, but there’s also field guides on local foraging and wildlife, cookbooks, books that teach you how to craft and DIY, books about environmental protection and stewardship, books on how to use herbs medicinally, books about other religions, cultures, and spiritual practices. My favorite local library even has a seed swapping program and fantastic resources to research your own family history!
Go to the library for witchcraft. Please. :) <3
Going outside while it’s raining and taking a walk along the busy streets. Urban witchcraft can be beautiful.
There’s the yard full of bobbles and flowers on the corner, just before the Main Street. I can take the bus to my local herbal shop and get my spell ingredients.
I’ve learned to recognize my local birds and their city bird behaviors. I love you pigeons.
Reblog the 500,000 dollar written check from Seto Kaiba and money will come your way.
Might as well.
nothing to lose.
Aragorn's Tenacity
-A Spell to Hold Someone to Thier Word-
this is one of my personal spells and can even be cast on yourself
You will need:
a white candle
a representation of the person and thing you’re aiming the spell at
thread of any color though I prefer black or gold
whatever incense herbs crystals you connect with willpower and truth
Steps-
Do whatever you need to do to prepare yourself for the spell. Circle casting, cleansing, meditation etc
Light the candle and incense, focus on the image/ object and the intent to hold the person to their word, be it a promise broken or one newly made
Visualize the promise being honored, or repaired if it has been broken
Say the following
“A bargain struck, a promise made
And to it we both hold
Honor, trust, and truth our bond
And to our will this deal we mold
Until the deed be done
Until our business is through
I hold you to your word
And now, what say you?”
Tie the string around the object as you repeat the words, binding the person to their promise.
Continue to visualize the success of the spell as the incense burns out.
Either allow the candle to burn down or snuff it out, clean up and keep the bound object somewhere safe in a bag or box somewhere where you can keep it until the bargain/ promise is upheld.
Happy casting witches!

Mess With A Witch, Get Wrecked Like a Bitch
A hex for when the only justice that will be done is that which you deliver yourself.
Note: Ingredients and instructions are somewhat vague, so you can decide exactly how you want to do it. I intentionally left a lot of room for personalization in this spell.
What you'll need:
1 sheet of paper
A pen (any color, I used a black brush pen I had on hand at the time)
A burn-safe bowl
Some kind of spicy shit (I used crushed red peppers)
Something to light the paper on fire
Something to sever the connection between you and the spell (so nothing nasty can follow the link back to you)
Water to douse the embers when you are finished
Steps:
1. Create an image on the paper representing the person who has wronged you. Write words describing their crime, draw pictures, or create symbols.
2. On top of this, write anything your anger tells you to. Your anger at the person will be the fuel/energy source for this spell.
3. Finally, on top of everything, write what you want to happen to the person who has wronged you.
4. Fold the paper up so it will fit into whatever you have chosen as your burn bowl.
4. Place in the bowl and add the spicy stuff.
5. Set the paper on fire (light from the bottom to get a proper burn).
6. While the flames are at their highest, yell something like "I AM JUSTICE, MOTHERFUCKER!" Or something to that effect. Your choice.
7. Use your severing instrument to sever your ties to the spell.
8. Let the paper burn as completely as possible, then douse with water.
9. Dispose of the ashes away from where you live or keep in a safe place for future hexing uses.
Cannot stress tf out of the importance of discernment. Be careful of spaces or people that tend to feed and enable delusions rather than teaching how to be mindful and how to discern the mundane from the magical.
I've seen a couple posts about image magic and poppets cross my dash and I thought I'd add my respectful (possibly) hot take: You don't have to have a poppet physically resemble your target- you can also make it represent who they are inside.
This can take thinking about symbolism and archetypes in folklore and culture. For example, consider the trope of "the knight in shining armor" present in many books and fairy tales. These characters are usually brave, helpful, loyal, and put others before themselves. A figurine of a knight could be a symbolic representation of someone in your life that also exhibits these traits, and you could use it as a poppet for blessing and protecting them.
The same applies for pop culture characters too! No matter where your interests lie, there's a character out there that reminds you of your target in one way or another. Imagine if you wanted to hex someone that's very controlling over your life. A Disney lover might be reminded of Cinderella's evil stepmother. To a Star Wars fan, that person may play the role of Darth Vader in their life.
You could even use things that the target is passionate about. A Pokemon plush could be a powerful connection to someone who's been a lifelong fan of the series since childhood.
And if you want to make it as simple as possible, just consider what exactly the object physically is. You don't even have to know who the character is or what they're from. An action figure that looks like it's wearing a spacesuit? Make it a success charm for your sibling that's studying astrophysics. Creepy clown? Dedicate it to baneful work on someone who makes fun of you. You can even just use color correspondences and look for a cheap toy in a color you associate with your intention towards the person.
I'm very much an "intention is power" witch- if you're not, that's completely fine! Always do whatever makes the most sense to you and your craft. My ideas are not suggestions or rules, just thoughts I have. I'm just presenting some different approaches to poppets that may resonate with someone.
Hot take but you can’t learn about paganism without also learning about white supremacy and how it uses pagan religions to push hate group agendas all over the world today. If you don’t learn about the connections between the two and how it operates, your ignorance enables white supremacists to keep on doing it and using it to recruit others. People in our community who do nothing and stay silent are literally a part of the problem, there is no opting out whatsoever. Divorcing the two makes the issue repeat itself over and over and over again.
It’s not hard to include this in your research and stay aware. It’s the bare minimum.
The reason people are told "mundane before magic" is so they remember to do things like check whether they've got mold or carbon monoxide in their house before they decide the problem is a malevolent spirit, find out whether their health problems have a treatable medical cause before deciding they're cursed, and make sure they have a mechanic check their car once they hear funny noises instead of just casting a safety spell on it and calling it good. People get hurt if they neglect the mundane.
Toth, The Scribe, presiding over the internet. Oh god of the written word, let the voices of reason supersede the swirl of meaningless text. May the truth be recorded and the lies be crossed out. May we remember our words have power over ourselves and others and therefore use them carefully, and not carelessly waste them on entities that only want our anger and our fear to feed on.
And may I be unbanned from that one Facebook group. You know the one. Amen.
