idk one of the things that makes luffy n zoro so appealing to me is that they ARE more interested in adventure and fighting and their dreams than romance. they’re not a “traditional” ship but there is so much love respect trust and understanding. they’re devoted to their dreams and each other. they chose each other. that’s never up for discussion, it’s just the dish cooking on the back burner not the one they’re currently stirring. there is so much inherent romanticism woven into their relationship (luffy hearing zoro’s name and deciding he was his, zoro dedicating his dream / growing stronger to luffy, the soulmatism, the shared brain cell and nonverbal communication, the way they always look to the other first, the even death not being enough to separate them ie zoro saying he’d follow luffy to hell) but it’s not about “will they won’t they” because their love is indisputably a constant. two halves of a whole. its about them walking side by side on this journey and loving every moment
