I'm having this internal crisis and I can't talk to anyone about it and it's driving me crazy. So crazy that I resurrected this Tumblr to write a read more post no one will read haha

i just realized where i know someone from and i want to gossip about it but i will be harshly judged for it lmao.

When I worked in Security at a hospital, there was a really nice couple who came in every day to visit their baby in the NICU. The mom was admitted for a few weeks before birth for observation, so I saw the dad visiting her everyday and once baby was born I met the mom too. We would chat a bit every day and they would tell me how the little one was doing. One day they surprised me with a bag of snacks saying they appreciated me. I stayed up late that night and crocheted a little blanket for them. I think about them a lot. The baby would be over a year old now. I hope they're doing well

I got a new job doing engagements/activities at a memory care home back in december. It’s been just over 3 months and 12 of the residents have passed away (none from covid).

It’s really taking its toll on me mentally. Like i know that these are people who’ve lived long lives already and it’s their time, but it doesn’t make it any less sucky. i’ve gotten to know a lot of them since it is literally my job to talk to them and have fun with them.

The most recent to pass away were ones that i was particularly fond of and watching them decline so quickly was just heart-breaking.

my coworkers told me that this is abnormal. 12 residents in 3 months is extreme especially considering none of them had covid. They said it’s typically 1 every 3-4 months.

I’m just so tired of going into work every day afraid to read the daily newsletter because someone might have passed while i was gone.

Things are looking up kinda

bit of a roller coaster for the past several months. Mental health ups and downs but things are starting to finally level out

been at my new job for over 2 months now and i’m enjoying it. it’s just the right amount of constant stimulation to keep my adhd brain from getting bored.

been making more of an effort to reconnect (and stay connected) with old friends.

I’m medicated and see a mental health professional.
