I swear Brennan is something else describing this scenarios where everything is so lugubrious and yet it somehow makes sense. Because life has an end and the world is unfair. And so not everything can be perfect. But almost. And he always gives us the almost as well.

Giving Teor the ability to boost a friend of his. The person he thinks of last is absolutely wholesome. Simply because it makes his death even more meaningful.

Also: the fact Teor died in hopes of finding those gnomes. He died on a whim, he died not having even found them... He died because Thimble wanted to fulfill the promise they made.

Fucking Brennan putting that vision in front of them!
