it’s deeply deeply upsetting when you bring up that you have been underpaid to your boss for like a year. said boss is then apparently flabbergasted shocked bamboozled because they can’t be bothered to keep up with their employees salaries I guess. says don’t worry it’s all taken care of with HR, check your next pay. Yeah sure whatever I don’t trust this new admin’s HR because I made the misfortune of going into public service straight after my PhD (don’t do this. fuck working for the public im so absolutely fucking done) two pay periods come. paperwork is updated to show… my exact same fucking salary completely unchanged. wow I am so shocked… bring it up to boss. boss says will see what they can do. Jack shit probably. I’m so tired and overworked. We are so short staffed. I’m literally starting a second job this fall because of how broke we are just trying to live. Fuck. This. Shit.
