An AU heavily/directly inspired by the horror fishing game Dredge (you’re not imagining the similarities)! The year is 1940, renowned microbiologist Dr. Ryland Grace has been called to a remote lighthouse located beside a small, seaside fishing town by local government official Eva Stratt in order to assist in the investigation of strange phenomena occurring within the ecosystem, and by extension the town itself.

Mutated sea animals, strange folklore, and stranger locals continue to lead Dr. Grace further and further down a path he’s no longer sure he can safely leave. A song compels him forward, offering visions and nightmares; whether they are premonitions, memories, or a warning, Grace has yet to discover. All he knows for certain, is that there is something—or perhaps, someone, calling to him, and he won’t ignore it.
