any of the photos, gifs, or videos I post are free for anyone to use for any purpose. if you repost or reupload them somewhere else, credit would be appreciated but isn't necessary.
I'm always open to requests and will prioritize those over other posts! always feel free to ask if there's something you're looking for that I don't have a post for just yet.
if a game has a remaster, I will default to using that for refs (for best quality) and they will not be labelled separately.
please note this includes twilight princess! if you're unaware, everything is flipped compared to the original gamecube version. this was originally done to make link right-handed for the wii release but carried over to twilight princess hd on the wiiu!
however, remakes (like ocarina of time and majora's mask 3d) WILL be labelled separately since they were remade completely.
I think that just about covers everything but lmk if you have any questions :)
Hello! I just wanted to thank you for all the references, and ask how are you since you haven’t posted in forever.
hi!! I'm happy to help :) I started this account partially for references for myself and partially for me to have something loz-related that doesn't require as much energy as actual drawing and stuff would. I figured it'd help other people too but way more people have seen my posts than I ever expected :')
I'm doing okay, just pretty busy, ty for asking :) I feel bad about not posting more often (I feel like I have a tendency to do like a few posts in like a day and then don't do anything for a full year T_T). I tend to make posts again when the loz hyperfixation is my focus but it comes and goes. it doesn't help that (1) I have the object permanence of an infant so I kinda forget this account exists if I don't see notifications or make stuff regularly (2) I have adhd and executive dysfunction is an absolute pain (3) I'm a full time college student who is also working and volunteering on top of that (4) I'm chronically ill so sometimes even when the stars align in every other way for me to get back into the groove of things and start making posts again, my body throws a tantrum and I end up...not doing that. this isn't to say that I have the worst circumstances ever or anything like that, it's just to explain why I'm not the most consistent with making new refs
I am gonna try to make a comeback though 💪 I have a bunch of posts in my drafts that I just never finished formatting and need to add more pictures to but hopefully I can clear them out by Halloween
if anyone read this far, feel free to send in any requests and I'll prioritize those! it'll help give me the motivation to actually get started
(update: as of hyrule warriors: age of imprisonment, they have names now! the goron is agraston, the zora is qia, the rito is raphica, and the gerudo is ardi. unfortunately I won't be able to get the game so I'll be limited in getting refs from it (╥﹏╥) )
(some pictures have been edited for clarity, mostly increasing the exposure and brightness on the ones from the repetitive Ganondorf battle cutscenes. also some of these are pretty pixelated and low quality (because the sages were such a small part of the original frame) but I'd rather have as many pictures as possible of them when they each have so few appearances, especially from different angles. okay, yapping over)
hello! thank you for this blog, having these references is really helpful!! i don't have totk on hand, so i was wondering: is it possible to compare the sizes of the dragons in totk? specifically, the light dragon to the three elemental dragons? i'm not sure what's the best way to figure this out
I decided to use link as my unit of measurement for size comparisons because I honestly couldn't think of anything else. anyway, onto the dragon info!
all four dragons have 31 spikes along their back, including the smaller one behind their horns/hair and the horizontal ones on their tails. the spikes vary in size but these pictures of link are next to the spike above each dragon's first pair of legs:
all of the dragons are roughly the same length (I'm sorry but I wasn't gonna count how many links long they are) and all about 4.5 links tall
the dragons each have six legs with four talons on each leg. they have two sets of legs in the front half of their body and one set of legs in the back half. I believe each talon is about 1 link tall but it's hard to be sure when the dragons never hold still and the wind currents are a pain (╥﹏╥)
the biggest difference between dragons (aside from the obvious color schemes and elemental powers) is their heads. their bodies, legs, talons, spikes, and tails appear to be the same size
the biggest difference is the light dragon's head compared to that of the others. while the three elemental dragons have unique horns (dinraal's two curved horns, farosh's long singular horn, and naydra's collection of smaller spiky horns), they share a common head shape. the light dragon, however, has a completely different head. her snout is much longer and her eyes are bigger!
I hope I covered everything you needed but let me know if I missed anything!
other dragon posts can be found here (will update this post as I add more):
light dragon
dinraal - I'm going to make a part two soon now that totk has made it much easier to get pictures of the dragons
to the anon who sent an ask about using photos in a fanfiction with credit, I'm so sorry I accidentally deleted the ask (〒﹏〒)
anyway, the photos, gifs, and videos I post are always free for anyone to use. credit would be appreciated but isn't necessary. this blog is a good output for my loz hyperfixation without annoying my friends and if it helps people, that's all I could ask for.
anyway tysm for your kind words (sorry again that I accidentally deleted your ask, oops) and have a great day as well! (。•̀ᴗ-)✧
(side note: to the other ask about the dragons, I promise I'm not ignoring you, I'm working on that rn!)
