So a trailer dropped for Rayman Origins Enhanced Edition and we got the closest look at official Ubiart Rayman 3 characters through the standees.

oh yeah i was just about to post about that lol. the selection is INSANE i wemnt to download the trailer and took screenie of all the photoboards

things that are real now: - origins styled r2 polokus - clark with tarayzan & skops with begoniax, interesting combinations - origins and r1 hunters together - incrediballs in origins. lol. - indeed griskin (with feet now) and hoodoo, also hoodmonger and hoodstromer and a little bit of a grim keeper (based on the usual suspects image which rocks) - ARENA DARK RAYMAN AND DARK GLOBOX - ALSO andre. hes straight up just there. also teensy doctor interesting new design - SERGUEI STRAIGHT UP - also r1 magiican lol in an edu game board - several legends things in origins which is funny to me

the skins look like. genuinely unfinished. hopefully theyll look better on release but if they dont then that gives me more of an excuse to reuse my originsing art in a mod lol

just looked it up. holy fuck. they did it by de-duplicating assets. I'm just. my jaw is on the floor. supposedly duplicating assets helps load times on HDDs but. holy fuck at what cost

it's worse than that: The Helldivers devs were told that duplicating assets would help HDD load times, but then they actually tested it and it had basically zero effect on load times!

So they had more than sextupled the size of their game by following industry standard practice that actually did basically nothing!

- lacmac bud feels almost obvious. though you could argue lacmac for gorgious though cuz theyre blue guys voiced by danny mann - cookie gorgious only because that was the last combination left, but you could draw parallels to betina being really mean to cookie for like no reason lol (not if you directly compare high anxiety to inside gorgious though) - rayman etno. big nose and also some purple and red on him. also etno is still difficult to draw help - betina candy. Woman - flips stereo becauswe they just kinda hang out doing nothing and you can remove them from the group with little consequence. this is so mean to stereo im so sorry stereo (but its kinda true (i wish it wasnt))
